I don't really want to keep any arguments going, but if I remember correctly (and maybe it has since been dismissed as EU), but I remember that Shadows of the Empire was the only non-movie story that George Lucas (Lucasfilm) absolutely verified as official canon. Of course, that was years ago, and it have been canned since then. Anyone know?

Sidenote: I would buy a Xizor figure in a minute. Especially if it retained the Michael Ironside likeness.

Shadows of the Empire and the Radio Dramas were among what was considered canon... at one time.

Right! The radio dramas! I had the Empire set. It was awesome! Anyways, does anyone know if that's been commented on by Lucasfilm? Now I'm getting curious lol!

True, most of the EU wasn't even ran by Lucas himself, he was like eh if it didn't change what happened in the movie and gave me money sure why not.

Lol. good point. Except that George Lucas was HEAVILY involved in all aspects of Shadows of the Empire.

I don't believe Shadows or radio dramas were included in what's considered canon today.

Regarding HT Stormie, I was just thinking a cool diorama would be the scene where C-3PO and R2 are being questioned by the stormtrooper in the control room of the death star. Wish Sideshow or HT would make a backdrop of that room.

Hrmph. Well, thanks for the reply, Darth. Maybe we'll learn for sure sometime in the future.

And then of course the hundreds of books and comics that disney will be pumping out will be canon..... So.....

That still wouldn't be considered canon in my book. To me canon means on-screen. Plain and simple. Books, comics, and all that is not on screen material and like someone else said is glorified fan fiction. I also wouldn't consider anything video game related as canon.

You're obviously missing the point. We as fans don't determine canon. That's....basically the gist of this conversation, what Lucasfilm considers canon.

And canon and cannon are two different things. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying...?

I deeply apologize for the extra "n." That's why I said in my book. And I understand the conversation. I'm not 5, it's not that hard to understand.

Just received my fourth trooper today that I actually forgot I had preordered. Initial inspection revealed a paint rub on the top of the bucket. I rubbed and scratched at with my fingernail but nothing helped. Thought I was going to have to initiate the replacement process with SS but wanted to try something I'd heard about. Took a dab of toothpaste on a soft cloth and buffed it for about 30 seconds. I wiped off the residue and sure enough, no more paint rub. No scratches or anything, just a brand new, shiny bucket.

Sorry for the long winded story but just wanted to let you guys know that if you receive your troopers with any paint rubs or marrs to the armor, try the toothpaste trick before you ask for a replacement. I'm sure rubbing compound would work the same way of you have it.

That is a very handy tip!

And almost as easy as dabbing a spot of glue on a loose magnet, eh MClass? :lol

I've used toothpaste on my cars headlights to clean them up. Good to see that it can be used to rub one out on a dome. ;)
