You have never before witnessed the cheapness of these companies. If there is an inferior material but you can make an extra buck per 1000 units, they will use that.

Anyone with the Sideshow PF Stormtrooper on order should probably cancel it regardless and get the HT 1/4 stormie instead. If you are hung up on getting statues, glue that sucker so that it can't move and have a much superior "statue".

No. The old ones are ok. The ones released now are coming yellow from factory.

What!!!! The ones that whent in stock this summer is also yellowish. I bought mine last year, but that is white. At least not that yellow that was surfacing around the time I got mine. Saw those pictures of the bad ones on here and thought oh my! Now they will probably fix it for the next batch, I thought (that`s the 2015 batch I`m reffering to). Wow SS....shame on you.

Not HT relayed, but your post reminded me of the painting I have.

Does anyone think that Hot Toys will make more Stormtroopers given the fact that it appears they sold so well? I could see them maybe doing a 2.0 with interchangeable battle damaged parts. Anyways I fell asleep on this one and regret it. Does anyone know of any online sellers that still have it available? Thanks.

Battle damaged parts -that's the first solid idea I've seen for a re-release that's different than the current sets. Could make for a nice Deluxe. BBTS still has 2-packs.

Thanks for the tip. I was looking for a single due to my budget but it seems like a 2 pack is the only viable option now.

Battle damage usually means DEAD when it comes to Stormtroopers in the original Star Wars universe :lol

But it'd be cool... :yess:

I feel like I might be a little overly picky here. There are some black spots on one of my troops helmet and they will not come off with a fingernail. I feel like I have three options: Contact Sideshow, try to buff them off, or live with it. I am a little concerned about damage with buffing and then I am SOL. Thoughts?

I can't see many people wanting to buy Stormtrooper variants as far as ESB or ROTJ. The difference between ANH and ESB is minimal. A bit of a different paint job on the mouth frown and ab buttons and different hand armor. But the difference between ANH and ROTJ or even ESB and ROTJ is quite extensive.

ANH I think.

ROTJ
You can see the ribbing or edging on the chest and cod piece. That only happened in ROTJ. And the paint and squatness of the helmet is very noticeable.

Doesn't go away with the help of a fingernail you say? I had a few black spots almost exactly like that, maybe a little bit smaller. I spit on my shirt and rubbed them off without much effort.

If it is dust or something that has dried into the paint they should replace it I think.

Thanks anwe. Just because I really hate to deal with a return issue, I'll try to rub them off and see what result I get. Yes, a fingernail got me nowhere. I assume it is dust in the paint, thats why I have considered a little rubbing compound, but who knows how thick the paint is...
