Re: Hot Toys Star Wars Stormtroopers

Hmmm, is this the Secret Base exclusive Mousedroid with the whitewalls and spinners?

This set is one of possibilities. Of course they can be Han and Luke in disguise....I mean they have the exact same weapons in hand as did han and Luke. It makes sense to have the option.

That's what I thought too... The mouse droid that came with the Stormtroopers is ideal for a scene too.
Anyway, does the HT Chewbacca figure come with chains / handcuff?

Re: Hot Toys Star Wars Stormtroopers

Yeah I mean this set screams Han and Luke.... Just there has been no indication that it is anything but Troopers that have the exact same weapons for the shorter (Luke) and taller (Han) stormtroopers. Time will tell.
I think adding two heads and hydrospanners for Chewie to this would be an amazing addition...but I would keep it as the regular troopers.

Re: Hot Toys Star Wars Stormtroopers

So what are we thinking fellas, $365 as a double set?

depends on how expensive the liscense, and how much Hot toys is planning to reuse the troopers.

IF they go open edition, and make Stormtroopers unlimited like sideshow has with clones, i wouldn't be suprised to see 179.99 singles, and 300.00 As a set.

Though, they might go crazy, and decide no lube for us.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Is the term 'loosey goosey' an industry approved term? :lol
Quite possibly - seems like a popular choice of description. :lol

I hate when people dump on older things when a new shiny toy comes along. It's just too easy to do.

These new Hot Toys ones look nice and will probably be better, but they should be better, they're 8 years older than the Sideshow versions. It will only be a matter of time before the Hot Toys ones become "out dated" themselves.

Context. :lol

The SSC Stormies were obviously wonky from the get go - not by some revelation 8 years down the track.

To be fair there have been a number of complaints about the Sideshow Stormtroopers from day one..

Are the clones really open edition? I thought that too and dragged my feet on getting a shiny, but it looks like he's actually sold out on the SSC site now. It fired me up to get one on eBay before they start drying up lol

It would make sense for HT to do an open edition on the stormy's, no doubt. Have they ever done that sort of thing before?

Re: Hot Toys Star Wars Stormtroopers

let me guess about 500 for 2 storm troopers

Re: Hot Toys Star Wars Stormtroopers

Looks like max $199 for the 2 pack. Yup, sounds about right.

Re: Hot Toys Star Wars Stormtroopers

LOL since there not main characters Id say you might be right about the price. There kinda like an accessory which is what I plan to use them for. My pimp guards for vader. i got in to late for the other stormtroopers I really want a mofat(i forget the actual spelling for it.) and the SSC version I'm not mentioning the scrony medicom shorties
