The way I see it, they'll offer them individually but will try to sway people into buying the set for the exclusive blaster and mouse droid. Or they might not give us that option and just offer the set only since these are Stormtroopers.

If you watch Star Wars, the Stormtroopers were mostly varying height.

At the rate HT Star Wars stuff seems like it's gonna come out I think that definitively rules me out of collecting it. There's just gonna be too much.

You mean its not THE "new" iphone. Not sure that's a fair comparison, as its meant to be disposible -- films are more like art. They last within their context. The idea of screwing around with a film after the fact is a brand new deviation practiced by Lucas and Spielberg. Spielberg was sensible enough to give it up and revert his ET canon back to the original. Lucas was not. But STAR WARS will always be the first, the original -- now matter what version you were raised with.


Anyway -- these stormtroopers are wicked cool and I WANT THEM NOW!!!

Looking at the rate they release Iron Man suits these days at least if they adopt that approach with their Star Wars line there will be a greater choice and range of characters.

They ought to include the cuffs with either Chewie or these. With the varying heights, all you'd need to do is swap Luke and Han's heads, wouldn't you (I have no doubt that they'll do an original Star Wars Tatooine Skywalker, and, at this rate, probably sooner than later)?

The heights are just too convenient not to be linked to Han and Luke.

Yep. Lol, no way would HT ever just give away Hamill and Ford sculpts, either, considering what the license must've cost them. They can just add them to 2 Stormtrooper bodies in a separate release and charge another $400.00, anyway.

Now that HT's doing Stormtroopers, there's so much room for variants and convention exclusives. I'd love to see them do a Sandtrooper since the weathering on Sideshow's final product wasn't nearly as nice as on the proto.

Crap. Haven't even ordered Han and Chewie and now these guys are coming down the pipe. I'll have to prioritize, though. Waiting for the Ripley announcements to set money aside for her (or them) and then I'll see about Star Wars. Definitely want to collect at least the main characters from this line.

I know it's idiotic, but it would be cool if they got in touch with me regarding my scanned and scaled Vader project. Think about it - Hot Toys producing the über accurate Vader... EEK... nerdgasm.
