Jakku was originally a water planet. But otherwise, yes - that's the only planet that changed biome from concept to screen. I guess with the exception of Starkiller Base considering having a river of lava through the snow lol

I do wish Jakku was the junk / water planet shown in the concept art. Would've been really cool.

I wonder if the inclusion of Ahch-To led them to change Jakku, since that ended up being a water planet. Would've served as kind of a bookend that this powerful new Jedi would come from an environment similar to the ancient Jedi Temple.
But . . . I do like that scene in TLJ where Rey is kind of playing in the rain. It's brief, but you can tell that that was probably the first time she'd ever seen it.

I had a similar thought. I mean, I think the most obvious and prominent thing was that they wanted it to mirror Tat. But beyond that, thematically it may have not had as big of an impact going to Ahch-To if she was already from a water planet and all that jazz. Though, I guess if they really wanted to it could've just been a water planet that where the water was dirty rather than beautiful (which it probably would be from the junk/etc). And then they could've had Ahch-To just be more of a full on forest if they wanted to change it.

That's what I am assuming but you never know with HT. All I know is it will be mine as soon as SSC puts him up for preorder. I guess they will probably have to show it first...I hope that is coming soon!

I'm predicting this won't be out until Q3 2019. Stuff put up today is already coming in Q2, I don't see them turning this around so soon when it hasn't even been previewed

Maul is even planned for Q4 2019 at Sideshow. This Luke could land around that time as well if HT decide to lauch PO in the coming weeks.

Was curious if you are a slave to Funko as I am. Man that is an addiction, and priced just right where I don't feel enough guilt having all these figures on my shelf!

I told myself I didn't necessarily need this version... but I also said that about the one from the the end of TFA which I just got the other day. So; I guess it's fair to say I'll be adding 3 Lukes from the ST to my collection

Not really. Being a SW fanatic my entire life (in my early 40's) I used to collect everything. Now I buy the characters I love from HT, Hasbro Black (occassionally 3 3/4), and a few assorted Funko's occasionally because being a completist is a dangerous path! Funko's are an easy buy because $10 does make them an easy purchase when I find something like Black Phillip from the VVitch (I HAD TO!), the Mad Max series and my favorite characters from SW. They are just a fun purchase here and there when I see something like odd characters from films I love.

At least it'll make a cool display! I'm planning on TLJ Ahch-To Luke and Crait Luke. Going to display the Ahch-To Luke with Resistance Rey. Crait Luke on his own for now. I hope we see a full sculpt reveal sooner than later. The sculpt for TLJ Luke is amazing.
