Love chiming in on lists so here is my 5.

1) ROTJ Luke - My favorite Luke out of any of the films.
2) ANH Han.
3) Chewie.
4) ANH Obi Wan.
5) Hoth or ROTJ Leia.

Coming up with 5 is brutal! The top 3 were easy and absolutely ones I wouldn't change. The next 2 were hard because I could easily swap them for numerous characters in the SW universe.

I only have the Vader (which I really like) from the SS line but for me personally I'm a HT's guy. I'm also most likely only going to be interested in one version of each character.

I also don't think they're being handed the keys to the license either so I'm guessing we'll only get updates to some of the earlier core figures and then possibly a Chewie, R2 and C3PO.

However, if HT's was to fully take over the 1/6 portion of the line, my dream list (in no particular order really) of figures I would be interested in would include the following.

1) ROTJ Luke.
2) ANH Han.
3) Chewie.
4) ANH Obi Wan.
5) Hoth, ROTJ, or ANH Leia.
6) R2D2.
7) C3PO.
8) Imperial Snowtrooper.
9) Boba Fett.
10) Asajj Ventress.
11) Storm Trooper (missed out).
12) Darth Maul.
13) Luminara Unduli.

I would really like to see them do an X-wing Luke and Dagobah version though...think those would make great figures!

ANH Leia definately needs an improvement, but $150 for one? You could pick up a 2nd hand Leia PF for slightly more. The outfit is just so simple. Maybe she could come with a ton of accessories or a really detailed base like HT will do now and then.

Yeah, the price point for Leia would be a bummer. Probably $135 like Black Widow. As long as she looks great it wouldn't bother me though.

If it's that simple, they won't charge $150 for one. Hot Toys have come in under $150 now and then, y'know. Though I assume they'd rather charge $150 and make it worth our while, maybe an alt head and outfit for the end ceremony.

Either way, there are others that need a re-do more than ANH Leia.

You've gotta figure the licensing costs will jack the figures' prices up some. Star Wars is more desirable as a license than, say, anything else on God's green earth.

Thats one thing where some folks are just being oh HT figures won't be much more than now. Well, people complain about SS prices on SW figures and how they're near HT prices. If HT was to ever get a full line you'll have their normal costs plus what ever they have to add to cover the cost from LFL.

in the end they make 500 units of something and charge $330 like enterbay :lol

There will still be those that buy it too, and wonder why all the "cheapasses" are complaining.

Perhaps. I believe the license is big enough for both SS and HT to co-exist. People unwilling to fork out HT cost stick with SS everyone else get HT. No need to bash anyone for their preferences and everyone is happy.

Unfortunately, reality is someplace in between....:cuckoo:

It is. Nothing wrong, cheap, crap, etc for buying either company. They both make great stuff in all scales and have misses. You can go for total win an buy from both like. me. :)

HT could make a killer Scout and Speederbike ya know. That size of vehicle is right up their alley.

Yeah, would be pretty cool. Thinking right about the size and price of Ghost Rider.

I think the most exciting thing that hasn't been made that HT could really shine with is General Grievous. Anything they do will be nice of course, but I think Grievous is a character that will really shine their skills.

Grevious will be amazing. HT is like the A-Team they specialize in the ridiculous.

Unless, of ofcourse, SSC becomes the primary (or only) license keeper and your only access to SW 1/6th scale is with $150-$200 figures. In which case it doesn't become a choice.

I can see SSC and HT live a fruitful coexistence as long as the HT products are restricted to special items such as Grievous, C3PO, Chewie, etc...but if HT goes down the road of making Han Solo or Luke Skywalker, say goodbye to SSC Star Wars and once SSC loses 1/6th Star Wars say goodbye to SSC 1/th entirely, mark those words. Put it down, even GI Joe.

Totally agree. The HT v SS debate reminds me of Sega v EA Sports debate. IMO neither is "better" they provide a different experience and competition which ultimately ups the ante. Preference isn't right or wrong, they are just different. IF HT and SS get into the SW market, I only see good things for all. Here is to hoping....:duff
