At first I was going to talk about HT, but they are a business, and I would have to assume that they produce figures that for whatever reason they think will sell.
So now I'm starting to think that it's me. I just don't understand the mindset of 1/6 scale collectors. Because I don't know why anyone would want this version of the character. Other than the hair, you can't even really tell that it's Harley Quinn. It's just some chick in a prison outfit. There are some figures where I don't get it because I don't happen to like the source material, but with this one... I have a really hard time understanding why someone would want it. To each their own as always...

I'm a Batman completist, but Hot Toys is slowly weaning me off. There are just too many releases for this particular movie. Instead of pumping out just a few bat-releases per year, there's triple the old amount, and not from any of my favorite properties.
Just for Suicide Squad, there are three Jokers (with a fourth shown), two Harleys, Deadshot, Imposter Batman (with rebreather version shown as well), and two henchmen shown. That's eleven figures, and there still might be a gown Harley, Dr. Quinzel, or even SWAT Joker. (At the same time, I'd be very happy to see a Katana or Croc to give the line more variety.)
Add into the mix the Arkham video game figures, and possibly Romero Joker (my number 1 want), and that's way too many Hot Toys Batman figures to collect for me. I've already passed on Imposter Batman and the black chrome armored Batman from BvS to save money on figures not appearing in the movies, but now I'm going to have to be forced to pick and choose even further. For me, that means less Jokers, but I already pre-ordered all three, not expecting this kind of figure glut.
I have 15 figures from the Nolan movies. That's three movies of releases over more than a half decade of time. The only unique figure I'm missing from that line is the Cop Joker. I was able to collect that line because of the slow trickle, only interrupted by even better releases here and there ('89 and '66 figures).
I'd buy these Suicide Squad releases if they spaced them out. As of now, it looks like this Harley is going to be a purchase on the secondary market years down the line, if even then...
