Re: Hot Toys Superman

Matrix (there is no spoon)
Michael Jackson (boring)
Michael Keaton Batman (cool)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

that was I was thinking. And they did announce Smooth Criminal MJ.
So, looks like
Matrix + MJ + (89 batman)?

That wasn't actually on an MJ cover but it feels like the artwork he used a lot. "dangerous" etc.

Anyway who cares, that has to be a 89 bats? Right?

Re: Hot Toys Superman

What if turns out to be a DX Original costume batman? Or League of Shadows Bruce Wayne?

It is the t-shirt graphic he's wearing in the Beat It video ;)

If it turns out to be a DX OC Bats I won't know whether to laugh or cry, having just shellacked out for the regular version. I think I will cry first.

Demon Bats I'd fork out for, but fat chance of that.

Yeah thanks, I just saw that on the other thread, this one:

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I just remembered on the same interview where the head honcho at HT was asked and he confirmed both Jill res evil and CR superman, he said they also wanted to do Jim Gordon. So as much as were hoping for 89 bats, I think were getting Gordon.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

To be honest I would LOVE a Gordon, more so than an 89 keaton Bats at this point - because i'm more concerned with completing by TDK collection first :)

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I thought there was already a Gil Valantine figure?

I would assume it's gonna be Neo from Matrix and given the way the Batman graphic has the cloak, I'd go Keaton Batman too.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I'd be happy either way with Keaton Batman or Gordon. If KB comes to fruition, I can only hope and pray for an 89 Batmobile.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

1989 Keaton Batman seems the most likely. How do you follow up with a Christmas Christopher Reeve Superman? With a Keaton Batman teaser of course.

A Hot Toys 1989 Batman has to be one of my most wanted figures that have yet to be produced. If this is indeed a teaser for it, man, I don't even know. I've been waiting a long time for this. The DCD statues and busts just don't cut it.

Bring him on Hot Toys.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

KNEEEEEEL before me!

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I'm hoping it's '89 Keaton Batman or TDK Com. Gordon. Either way I'd get em.

yeah, that's how far back the interview was made. It was when he first confirmed that there will be a Jill Valentine figure and he also acknowledged there's also gonna be a CR superman which he even said for 2010 but of course, now that will probably be 2011.
In the same interview, he acknowldedged that there will also be a Jim Gordon. So, so far, that's 2/3.

I dont think its Keaton because that would probably be a separate licensing issue.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

How would the license be an issue though? WB? Look at all the licenses WB has granted. TDK, Watchmen, Terminator Salvation and most notably Superman 1978. If anything Arkham Batman would be harder for them, plus they'd have to design a whole new body for it whereas you just give a movie Batman a true type.

The Batman 1989 license in general? Almost every company so far not including mattel (they make the current hot wheels vehicles though so who knows) has picked up the '89 Batman license. Why would Hot Toys not pursue it given the demand? Can't be too hard for them right? Especially when there's just a few statues, busts and movie props/vehicles. Perfect chance to pump out some 1/6 collectible figures.
