Re: Hot Toys Superman

No, it means Indy will be unveiled for the FIRST TIME at the show, not that he will be first unveiled.

But I still think him on 24th and Supes on 25th.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I strongly believe we will see HT Indy on 24th, with CR Supes being displayed on the 25th.

May even see something from AVATAR. Either way, going to be an exciting time.

Don't be too surprised if you see something from "Inception", Hot Toys has a long history dealing with Warner Brothers & Nolan. Having said that, the chances are only maybe 25%, but I think that there is still a chance.

That would be ____ing retarded.

I would never be proud to own a Corn on the Cobb or a generic asian businessman in my 1/6 collection.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

:dunnoi think having characters from good movies looks more classy on the shelf than a bunch of comic book characters.

Yeah but how about actual classics. I can see Godfather and the usual films people list in their boring top 10 lists, but ____ Inception.

Good film or not. Those characters aren't toyetic or collectible worthy. I can see it now, "LOOK MA, HOT TOYS IS MAKING A 1/6 MAL!"

Who the ____ is that?

That's a point of view. I'm in the middle of the argument as all of my favorites on the shelf are comic book characters, but their movie representations.

I don't know, I honestly would rather have Bats, Sups, Spidey, and Joker any day than Al Pacino from Scarface (God knows that's not getting old, :rolleyes2 )

And classy? I don't know, movie or comics. they are after all still dolls. I don't think any guys on the board use the pick up line: "hey you wanna come over and check out my classy doll collection?"

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Yeah, great point about the movie representations too.

Also, Scarface atleast has some history to it. It is more iconic than dreams within a dream, within a dream, within a dream.

True, letting my bias of me disliking Scarface get in the way. Then again, I'm still waiting for my John Leguizamo doll from Super Mario Bros movie:pray:

Re: Hot Toys Superman

Woops... I was hoping a little sarcasm came through that...

I was trying to point out that everyone has their collecting preferences, they're all just toys/a hobby after all.

I though HT said that they passed on Inception because the look of the characters was too mundane -- just a bunch of guys in suits. I'm sure I remember reading that somewhere.

NO.

Toy collecting is LIFE.

:exactly: :lol

"Guy in a business suit" figures hold no appeal for me. If I wouldn't give you a second look if I saw you on the street I don't need a 1/6 version of you on my shelf :lecture
