the guy who took the pictures said on the toy-world forum that they are indeed black straps, not blue. He said it's his camera that does it...in fact he had a pic of the t-600 next to connor and all his gear was blue as well

Wtf? That's pretty messed up; I'd be getting a decent camera if I was him!
My guess is that he (or someone else) may have removed the IR filter off the CCD and it's showing a part of the non visable spectrum. Very unusual.

Digital cameras can be used for less desirable purposes when certain filters are removed and added, not to say that this is the case with this camera and owner. Does anyone remember the Sony "Nightshot" recall a few years back due to their ability to see through clothes when certain filters were used and IR enabled?

Check out Cash Converters, they occasionally have them in stock. I used to work there and we would get quite a few shifty looking people asking for that particular model
We once played around with one in the store with the required filters fitted and it wasn't long before the boss caught wind of it and took it off our hands. For some reason he took the tape home

hey, i wanted to confirm something. SS has their own t-600 weathered skin rubber mask exclusive that comes with the extra half-mask. now i see a hot toys weathered skin rubber mask exclusive version on ebay that also has an extra half-mask with it. are these two half-mask exclusive versions (SS exclusive and hot toys exclusive) exactly the same?
Im pretty sure they are different. heres the list for the rubber t-600's so far.

From the photos I have seen they are identical.
That's kinda because they're the same figure!
The HT 'VIP' one there is the SS Exlusive. It's just that HT distribute it in HK, not SS.
The two different exclusive masks are the SS Excl. & the Ani-Con Excl.:
