Says who? Why, do you suppose, would Skynet make a bunch of T-700s and never skin them? Oh, right, cause Cameron's Skynet didn't have odd integered series Terminators, only 600, 800, and 1000. McG can suck it for not paying more attention to details.

The fact that T-700's are foot soldiers not infiltraitors makes there need of a skin covering redundant. And T-700's are just to bridge the gap between the T-600 and T-800. Think about it T-100's, who are T-1's basically!, are a 100 series. If the go up in model the way you say it would go: T-100, T-300, T-500, T-700 and T-900. So I can see your point, but your right! This is'nt Reese from 1984's future rant. It's a diffrent one because of the events at the end of T2 so it effects the time line. Altering models and there size! Maybe because Skynet had no T-800 arm or chip, from T1, the T-600 template was altered. Not enough info to build them advanced enough.

The T-600 isn't really an infiltration unit, they only have to get close enough to fire their BIG gun...which is about the distance people realise that it's 10 ft tall with Rubber Skin...

Hence the T-800's prototype name: Terminator: Resistance Infiltration prototype...

I know it's not a good infiltraitor but it's a infiltraitor never the less! Think about it, if the T-800 is a PS3 that makes the T-600 a PS1! The PS3 is super advanced, the PS1 is a pile of crap! But it is still a Playstation. Get what I mean?

I haven't seen the movie yet, so I'm not going to get hung up on the names etc. All I got is my memory from watching the original movie & thinking the earlier machines would of been similar to the Arnie Animatronic (from the scene he cuts his eye out). ie: same size and realistic until a few feet away. but it's all good I'm hoping the movie rocks!

Thanks Morbach, it can get a bit confusing. All the debate about the endos and I get lost. :lol Theres a lot of differing opinions about which is better the T-600 or T-700 and Im just not sure.

the T-600 was shown for the first time in this movie. The T-700 looks similar to the ones seen in the first 3 movies. The T-600 is better cause it's more original. Go with that one :D you already have it ordered so you're good :D

Just got my t-700 in. Missed out on the OG endo, but here's some quick thoughts, I'm going to try and avoid anything that would pertain to the 'probably heard it, been there, done that, etc.' regarding things that are probably similar to the t-800, just things that might be useful for newcomers to the endo. :

*Everything is all around fantastic. Already hearing and reading about the fragility of the first endo, its limited poseability was not a disappointment for me. I spent some time getting to know the figure's anatomy and limitations and if this will be your first endo, please take the time to do so.

-Paint apps are really cool, but unfortunately I'm going to have to give it an A- or a B+ compared to the protos. If you look at the proto pics closely, there's a lot of wear and rust visibile on the body, which, done as in the protos look quite excellent and fits the texture and the 'gritty' look of the endo well. The problem is that they translated to less than subtle in the final product. I had to look really closely to see that they even bothered to keep the 'rust' and wear paint, it's certainly there but so minimal that it seems almost pointless that they even tried. I may or may not try and correct this on my own.

*The texturing is done quite well, maybe even better than the proto pics show and is visible from a good distance so that it's not just a grey/matte metallic re-do of the original. There's enough texture to give it a bit of personality of its own.

*The base: really pleased with the base, paint apps are really cool, lots of 'grease' paint apps to give it a realistic 'gritty' factory vibe and the yellow factory look is very reminiscent of all of the terminator films. There are even some 'glass' (plastic) panels utilized to give it a bit more of a dimensionality and a feeling of depth. I'm not getting one, but for the diorama buyers, if you end up picking up a t-700 they'll go great together.

For non-endo owners:

*For non endo-owners, make sure to check out the badass waist articulation. I didn't know that the upper torso could move to the left and right to a significant degree and was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this.

*make sure to take the time to learn the figure's anatomy before going pose-crazy with it. I've been messing around with this guy for an hour or so and I've gotten some really cool poses out of it, just make sure you know what goes how far and how all the 'hydraulics' work in tandem with the articulation.

*I don't know what might differ from the original, but feel free to ask and maybe we can figure out if there are indeed some differences.

Is anyone going to give their T-700 a weapons(s)? If so what are you going to give him, that's one of the reasons i didn't buy even thoug it's prve is fairly low.

If I were to get one I may give it a M4 Carbine maybe. It would have to have a 2018 bad ass repaint but I'm up to the challenge!

I'd be curious to see if he could hold that, we don't see and T-700s holding a weapon do we? I have seen the movie twice and if it is shown it's really quick or in the background so i'm curious to how the 700's killed.:confused:

haven't seen it yet. But, correct me if I'm wrong, do we see a T-700 outside a factory? If not maybe they get guns further down the factory, like near the exit, hence no weapons. Seeing as the, Arnie accent time!, Phased Plasma Rifle at 40 Watt Range has not been invented yet! A M4 Carbine is not a bad substitute!

True, true. I would just think that since the T-700 is a better killing machine then the 600 he would have a cooler gun. I guess it's just how i picture him. He must not need it though since he's such a good killer.

 I give up. Anybody can pic and choose what they want from any movie to justify what they like about the franchise. For me, my canon for Terminator mythology is based solely on the first Terminator. Anything after that just made it too complicated, even T2. It's all fantasy anyway, and I've learned time and again, despite my stubbornness to continue doing it, that there is not much point in arguing with lots of faceless usernames about what is and isn't truth in the fiction. If I had a hard on for McG's 600s, I'd be doing my best to defend them, too.

A great time travel expert, Doc. Emmett Brown, said it best: "Better that I devote myself to studying the other great mystery of the universe . . . women."

Later, dudes.:peace

So now it's changed from Cameron's vision to just T1? :lol Nobody has a hardon for anything, you just brought a knife to a gunfight. The man's own words contradicted what you were trying to use as a foundation for your argument. At any rate, yeah, you're right. This should probably end before it becomes more than it needs to be. :lol
