Thanks for your impressions, laudanum. My T-700 should be shipping soon. I do have a question about articulation: Are the foot joints tight? I remember reading about how a large number of owners complained about loose mid-foot joints.

In regards to the paint job, I wasn't even aware of any rust effects on the promo or Toyworld pics :lol so I guess I won't be too disappointed. I can imagine that the HT T-700 just left Skynet's factory, so no rust yet.

Just got my t-700 in. Missed out on the OG endo, but here's some quick thoughts, I'm going to try and avoid anything that would pertain to the 'probably heard it, been there, done that, etc.' regarding things that are probably similar to the t-800, just things that might be useful for newcomers to the endo. :

*Everything is all around fantastic. Already hearing and reading about the fragility of the first endo, its limited poseability was not a disappointment for me. I spent some time getting to know the figure's anatomy and limitations and if this will be your first endo, please take the time to do so.

-Paint apps are really cool, but unfortunately I'm going to have to give it an A- or a B+ compared to the protos. If you look at the proto pics closely, there's a lot of wear and rust visibile on the body, which, done as in the protos look quite excellent and fits the texture and the 'gritty' look of the endo well. The problem is that they translated to less than subtle in the final product. I had to look really closely to see that they even bothered to keep the 'rust' and wear paint, it's certainly there but so minimal that it seems almost pointless that they even tried. I may or may not try and correct this on my own.

*The texturing is done quite well, maybe even better than the proto pics show and is visible from a good distance so that it's not just a grey/matte metallic re-do of the original. There's enough texture to give it a bit of personality of its own.

*The base: really pleased with the base, paint apps are really cool, lots of 'grease' paint apps to give it a realistic 'gritty' factory vibe and the yellow factory look is very reminiscent of all of the terminator films. There are even some 'glass' (plastic) panels utilized to give it a bit more of a dimensionality and a feeling of depth. I'm not getting one, but for the diorama buyers, if you end up picking up a t-700 they'll go great together.

Isn't it the 600 that's supposed to have rust anyway? :huh

Yeah, that'd make more sense, but if the promo pics had a rust paint app applied onto it, then it should remain for production pieces, no matter how unnoticeable the effect is. That applies to all figures that go from proto to production. If the paint is on the proto, it better be on the production piece.

I hadn't noticed any rust, so the lack of it won't bother me.

Hey Plasmid, well I'm not sure which feet joints you're talking about...let me check them all, give me a sec...

none of my foot joints are loose, the toes are fine as well as the other three. The joint connecting the feet themselves to the leg are ever so slightly looser than I would like, but it's really not a problem since he can stand fine without the base in a more stylized pose.

Only joint that's loose on mine that kind of annoys me is the right arm (his right), not the joint connecting to the forearm but the joint that connects to the torso itself. I see a screw visible so I'm going to give it a slight twist to see what that would do.

I'm likin the 700, thanks for the pics. Any comparison thoughts of the 700 and 800 if you have the 800.

I'm not sure myself. I just read on some other forums about loose foot joints. I think they could have meant the toes because the T-800 figure was prone to that.

Anyway, thanks for the pics. The display stand looks great.

Some pictures of the T-600 I recently found. :)

Looks amazing. Is this the original from the movie or some kind of custom made?

If you mean the pictures I posted. Some from the making of TS movie. Some shots (one on the roof) not used.
