Hot Toys TDKR: 1/4th scale Batman [QS001] - Full Reveal & Specs

Oh, don't worry about it; I didn't take it that way, but yeah, between Man of Steel, Arkham City, 66 Bats, and The Lone Ranger, I've got plenty of options. As for Iron Man, I could not agree more.

Yeah, the one good thing about the DX 12 was that it saved me a lot of money. I didn't like it, and I wasn't about to have a clown, a cat, and a madman without a Batman.

No, of course not! That would be sacrilegious. Not to mention my ocd would be through the roof if I had all of them with no bats . Yes, i'm sure many can say the DX12 has impacted their attitude toward buying either in a positive or a negative way. You're obviously no exception. There's always the choice of going the 1/4 route. Get this guy if he's great. Pick up EB Bats. Purchase the EB Joker. Then pray that Selina Kyle and Bane make it to 1/4. Thats the route i've taken and I cant complain so far

I don't know. If I wanted a 1/4th scale Joker, it seems like the custom route would be the way to go. Some ridiculously real head with rooted hair; Kato clothes, etc. I think that's the reason subpar Batman releases are so much more disappointing. Joker can be done better by anyone with talent, but these big companies are almost the only ones who have the resources to do Batman right, what with the armor materials, etc.

Thats true. I did look in the customs section awhile back and saw some amazing work done on the EB Joker. I can't remember who it was but it didn't matter because he said he wasn't taking orders for headsculpts anymore. So, I just tried to erase the memory of what I had seen to keep myself from being disappointed with the stock figure. Bottom line was that his work was far superior to anybody else I had ever seen. So you make a good point.

I've seen a ton of custom Batman sculptures that are incredible. However, thats a completely different animal. Haven't seen anybody put together a 1/6 or 1/4 Batman. Cause it's very difficult to do without the parts. Again, good point.

Just saw OMG's photo review of QS002. They actually changed something from the proto. The one thing in the Endo that resembles Arnie, the teeth gap, is no longer there. To some it might be petty, but it beats me what HT people are thinking.

Please make this figure count, Hot Toys.

It's probably just my way of thinking, but i figured that QS001 would be out before QS002. We haven't heard a peep from this figure in a long time. I want to add this to my 1/4 scale collection soooooo bad..

According to SSC it suppose to ship in May but seeing that we have not seen any in hand pics from Asia I doubt just like many on this thread that it will be release on time or even in Q2 of 2013.

It's probably just my way of thinking, but i figured that QS001 would be out before QS002. We haven't heard a peep from this figure in a long time. I want to add this to my 1/4 scale collection soooooo bad..

It should be THE way of thinking, but like I said before, it's not HT's. They should re-learn how to count. LOL

I've had this discussion before and somebody told me that Hot Toys doesn't necessarily see the "issues" you speak of as issues at all. I agree with that. We very well maybe getting a DX12 in 1/4 scale. I've accepted that. The one thing I like about that is the fact that i've never seen a 1/6 scale figure look worse in 1/4 scale. I've seen just as good and better. I've never seen worse. Might be what we get. I can live with it.

I did say Hot Toys didn't see that the problems that were complaining about on here was anything to fix but that is likeness wise, hence no issues require fixing. However, even for the type of the collector that just want a character, they have to work on the PERS QC problems such as googley eyes because regardless of what type of collector you are no one wants something that looks like they have an lazy eye.

They are blinded.

They are not blinded they just make figures for people who prefer more playable options (PERS) regardless if it mess's up the likeness. Since most Hot Toys collectors are the type of the collector that are only interested in the character and do not expect likeness to be dead on then Hot Toys will not fix any likeness issues because they know they can sell this figure despite what it looks like. Of course I could be proven wrong since they fixed that gap in the 1/4 scale Endo skeleton. However, that was such a simple fix, in all honestly there needs to be a major overhaul to fix the likeness of the cowl, which is not an easy task like fixing the gap in the teeth of the endo skeleton.

First of all I apologize if I came off as a ****. I guess you didn't take it that way and I didn't mean it that way either. I just re-read what I said and it kinda looked that way. Yes, I hope they listened too. And you're right! Your money could certainly go towards something else. Like the never ending and ever expanding line of Iron Man figures



I really hope you end up having to find money elsewhere to fund the 89 Batmobile. If this guy is anywhere near what he should be you'll be keeping him

Totally agree. I would rather have this guy just be awesome. So much potential!

I am so frustrated with this figure, I keep pre-ordering it and then canceling it, probably ten times now. I am a huge Bale fan, but everytime I look at the promo pics I cringe. I will probably buy this but I will now wait until some dealer or even evilbay to buy one. I still think something is majorly wrong with Hot Toys if it is scheduled to come out next month and still no info, pics, or updates!

I don't understand, if you're not happy with this product why you will probably buy it?

And considering this doesn't look like Bale as Batman at all.... you should feel insulted by this figure..

Wow this guy's proportions are so odd lol. skinny waist, huge upper body and long arms.. i saw no reason to get this as i have the EB begins suit which is the better suit to me but hopefully HT improves on this for people who have pre ordered it.
