Hot Toys TDKR: 1/4th scale Batman [QS001] - Full Reveal & Specs

It's happening. Hot Toys already said that they're making 15 suit from Iron Man 3.

Iron Man is getting to be a bit much. Batman has 3 movies. 2 suits. That can be worked with. Iron Man has 3 movies and how many suits??? I mean come on man..

I was never a fan of the comic, so I know very little about Iron man but are the films accurate? Like does anyone know if he had so many dam suits already made in the comics that he had available like the hall of armor seen in the movies?

Oops I forgot to mention the two SDCC Iron man suits that have nothing to do with the movie or comic I think. I wonder if Hot Toys will bring out another SDCC grey Iron man again this year.

And there I was laughing because I thought it would be too ridiculous of them to do. No.. They're already knee deep in the process

I'm so sick of the attention that Iron Man has been getting that it's put me off wanting to see the next one. I'm over most of the marvel stuff as I feel most of it is just average. Not a fan that stuff promised down the line from HT gets pushed aside for the current stuff.

I think just about everyone on the board is feeling this way excpet for the die-hard Iron Man collectors.

I mean hell, HT is even putting banners on buildings and on taxi cabs for their IM3 figures

Maybe it has something to do with some of the movie being filmed in China?

Yeah I don't think I will bother going to the cinemas to watch it. Like you said just sick of it.

The fact that Iron Man is Hot Toys cash cow goes without saying. But
at the same time Hot Toys needs to diversify a bit more than they've been doing.
Licenses they've previously announced should not get sidelined simply because IM
makes the most money.

Why is HT still claiming that this would be released as scheduled? QS002's already been previewed on the coming soon teaser, while this, the QS001, haven't received any updates yet.

HT should know how to count. First its was (DX) 05, 06, 08, 09, 07, 10 now it's (QS) 002, 001. LOL

Kojun's been churning out mediocre sculpts lately. On Iron Man, he's had his hand on RDJ several times and every time it's like a different Tony Stark. First time I thought that I'm impressed by the Stark headsculpt on Mark XLII and I realized that So Young's on board with Kojun.

Give Bale Batman to this talented lady who's done BLADE, MJ Bad, Loki, Storm Shadow, and Bane headsculpts -- who's so underrated people even say she might be an apprentice of the more popular lady sculptor on HT whose works I don't find as impressive as her own beauty.

Agreed! Lee So Young is incredibly talented and has had more home runs ima shorter time span compared to the HT Veterans. To add to the ones you listed she also did Sweeney Todd, Prof Xavier, and I believe Chris Taylor Platoon all of which look damn near spot on to the actor. Kojun had to sculpt almost 10 smiling/smirking DX Sparrow heads before the licensor approved it. And his second attempt at Wolverine looks less like Jackman than the first IMO and and what's worse is that Wolverine was character he said he wanted to do again b/c he knew he could do better but instead it looks worse.

Thanks for adding those I missed on the list, Gipetto! Man, I had no idea she did the Xavier HS, which is phenomenal (now where's our XAVIER, HT?!?)!

To me, Kojun's sculpts are OKAY at best, including the Bale Bruce Wayne head sculpt on DX12 and Luke DX07 (both of which I have and in-hand I find them okay). And that Wolverine story you just told us supports the fact that he's rather inconsistent, just like his works on RDJ Tony Stark.

Yulli's just okay, too. I never really like her first Arnie Terminator. Her DX update is just okay, made more lackluster by the bug-eye PERS. Her Bruce Wayne sculpt on MMS 67 looked nothing like Bale. I think the last Yulli work I loved was Nicholson Joker, and I think her update on Joker 2.0 is very good, but then again that wasn't her first try on Ledger's Joker visage.

Yes I'm a big fan of So Young. Also, WHERE THE HELL IS PAN? He did a stellar job on DX09 -- and I haven't heard of him since then. Give these talented sculptors more wrok, HT!

He outsells The Bat? If so that's only because of the sheer amount of Iron Man figures there are and apparently are going to be in comparison. I doubt he has a larger fan base overall.

I'm not a fan either. I recognize that this is business. They're likely to do whatever is most beneficial for them financially rather than what may appease to a certain number of the population. Irregardless, I want to see final pictures!

I cant agree more. Kojun is overrated, and most young sculptors whos supposed to be supervised by him actually churns out better sculpts than him

SS told me the same thing a couple weeks ago. The thing that makes me believe it isn't coming soon is they couldn't even give me an estimate on shipping yet. If HT can't even give box dimensions/weight, then I doubt it'll be ready to go any time soon.

I would rather wait and have them fix all the problems and rush it out the door. For $500.00 this thing better look like Bale or it will be a complete waist of plastic!
