- I would be curious to see a good repaint.
- the mouths are no more or less open on the two "versions".
Maybe, but since we willl never have the proto in hand, we will never know.
- I see what you mean by squashed. Until I posted my pic with the proto shot, I had honestly not noticed that before. My first impulse is that it is lens distortion. Not because I don't want to be wrong about it being "deformed"' but because it seems the most logical explanation.
Finally, you actually see a difference before you saw no difference and was trying to convince everyone that there was no difference at all.
It's actually an illogical explanation, because that would mean all the promo pics of the proto would all have len's distortion as well wouldn't it?
If the production casts had somehow sagged after casting due to rushing, as you have suggested, it seems that there would be variation from copy to copy. But, as it is, all that I've seen look identical in shape. I could be wrong though. And looking at the two pictures I can see that the proto does look more like Bale in TDKR. The production piece looks more like him in Begins, due to the fuller face.
I want to keep this reply as peaceful as possible ok I will explain what happens and why there are not variations from product to product.
They get the resin (proto) sculpt and attempt to duplicate it by casting it into PVC mold, which isn't an exact copy to the original proto sculpt, hence the sculpt get's changed or deformed. Now that PVC mold is then used to make the final products. So you see there is only one mold that the final products come from? So there there would not be variations from product to product as all the product sculpts come from the same deformed PVC mold. Do you get it now?

Us Freaks are spoiled.
Maybe that is one reason, I hate this sculpt
If you go back and read my posts and yours you will see that we are being equally dogmatic. It's how one has a discussion. Things have never gotten heated, and I honestly don't know why you are so passionate about the issue.
I hope you don't take offense to what I am about to say because I don't want to argue anymore. If you go back in read what you said, you were the one saying the proto pic I showed is not the proto and is what we all own. That sounds condescending to me as I got the impression you wanted all of us to take your word for it and that was that. As far as being passionate about the issue I am not, as I think it is a complete waste of time but just saw where the other people were coming from and you kept wanting me and others to explain why it is different and you wanted to know why we wouldn't accept your explanations that it was not different at and all due to the lighting. I was trying to change the subject and only tried to reply to post where people were talking about the 1/4 scale figure but you insisted to go on about this. So no offense but I think you are the one that is the most passionate about this, not me.
I could be wrong but I got the impression because you could not see where other people were coming from you wanted them to accept your way because u said so and if they didn't you wanted to keep arguing and to try and persuade people that they were wrong. Granted you did want the discussion to end but you wanted it to end in your favor, so you could have the final say. I even told the original poster who brought this up to stop talking about it because you and others won't stop otherwise. It's like you wouldn't accept other people's opinions unless they could provide proof that you are wrong.
Not saying you are wrong though but you have admitted you now see differences.
As I have said, we basically already agree. It was not "resculpted" intentionally, the final cast just isn't as good as the original. This is a frequent consequence as BadMuthaDude has said.
Of course it wasn't but you were saying the proto pics were of the final product, which is your explanation to what we own is the same sculpt as the sculpt in the pic I showed. That was the problem.
I am willing to admit that there are differences between the original pics and what we have in-hand that I did not notice until now.
Well I am glad you finally admit that.
But I still think it's the best 1/6 Bruce Wayne to date.[/B]
Although I don't like it I agree, maybe it is the eyes that make me hate it as he looks drunk or something.
Anyway Mags can we please forget about this, it looks different to me and looks different to others. Whether it is a different sculpt is besides the point. I really hope we can just put this pointless discussion behind us now.
..... Oh god. Ok.
Unless we're talking about some other sculpt? Like Their first Bale or something? Statements like that are just hard to take seriously.
Next you'll tell me Johnny Depp is the ugliest man in Hollywood and Gordan Ramsay can't cook.
Why because I agree with someone else and do not agree with you?
I respect your opinion that you like it so please respect mine thank you.
I like the DX12 Bale sculpt as well, but the likeness is off in my opinion.
Well I don't like it but nevertheless, all I am saying is that I sympathize with others on here that are up set that they didn't get what Hot Toy showed us what we were suppose to get.
