Wait, how do we know for sure they are removable? Did someone see the base without the mask? :huh

I guess everyone's too focused on the cowl/faceplates, just like on Zod's headsculpts that the other details are missed :)

They could have displayed 2 versions of the figure. 1 with back pack and normal cowl or bruce wayne sculpt and 1 with the sonar cowl with cape.

That's what I was worried about, but I don't see that being the case. Mainly because it would totally negate the demand for an exclusive. Who the **** wants an empty Batman cowl when they don't even have a Bruce Wayne head to hold it?

Agreed. Can't imagine it.

All is forgiven Mags, besides it was not only u who wanted to talk abou the DX12 and I might of misinterpreted things to.

So this will probably be like the DX12 where only one mouth piece was useable. No complaints here though, as I am not interested in other mouth pieces, just as long as one looks good. :yess:

The only one I don't think I'll use is the pouting "doooooo" face. If they would have put a closed mouth angry face in its place, it would be the perfect set IMO.

That snarling face is so ridiculous. :lol

He did that in the movie though. And I liked the idea of it on the DX12, the execution was just poor. But this one looks good.

Hmm I guess your right, I didn't really notice a problem with the other one until Jokes & Bats called it the toilet face. Still, I wish there were pics that showed each mouth piece on the cowl. :gah:

^Like I said, big *** light bulb aimed right at the figure.. no flash. Horrible futzing and lighting is the reason why it looks so awful. There's also some distortion going on.. which I now realized there also is with the photos taken from SDCC if you look closely, especially with the cowl making it look longer and more narrow.

Even with the bad lighting, it still looks frigging awesome to me!!! Custom cape and eyes repainted and BOOM!

Makes me do a sex wee!!!!!!

Besides the cape everything looks great to me man, even with the light on him I still think he looks great, and these pics are going to make us that much happier when we see he looks even better in hand.

But that cape :slap

I really hope we don't have to any mods even painted mods for it to look good other wise I will be passing on this. Not buying a $500 + figure to do mods on.

It already looks great. Just depends if you wanna make it that touch better. Painting eyes is easy, especially on 1/4. And cape is personal choice, just as any mod is. Those are the only 2 I'd do, other than the neck shortening (if it needs it). Only one that costs any more money is the cape.

I wasn't bothered about doing the cape on the DX12, but I'm bloody glad I did! Makes it so much better. Doing the eyes and neck tomorrow.

I don't understand buying a figure like these, whether 1/4 or 1/6 and not spending a little time (and maybe cash) to make it flawless.

There isn't any need for mods, really. Except if you couldn't live with the minor things like the cowls (which would be a lot of work to fix a minor issue), so you should be good to go.

Also, can someone in Singapore please ask whoever's working at the Hot Toys booth where dat Bruce Wayne head is at?

Anyone know how long a package takes to get from shanghai to UK?

It departed from PVG airport at 11am GMT today.

I think I prefer the neutral faceplate on the Sonar head look. The other faceplates just seem too extreme and goofy (not that he didn't make those faces of course) and I don't like the eyes on this one. The profile and protruding/elongated mouth look like hell.

I'm thinking this figure displayed with this look would be ideal,

Grapnel gun holstered to side like an old west gunslinger with long cape and sticky bomb gun in hand. I'm going to assume that the eyes are nice and bright and aren't crappy like the DX 02s.

Texture/pattern on the inner suit looks kinda wrong though.

The mesh patterns may be a little undersized, perhaps, but I don't really see the point in looking at "issues" like that. Again, it's relatively minor in the long run, and, if you can't deal with it, good luck finishing a new, suitable material, sewing it into the correct pattern, removing each individual plate from the QS figure, and meticulously gluing them back to the new fabric suit, piece by piece.:lol
