Yeah, the stock cape's a nightmare but with a little "work" (thank god I'm bald 'cause I would have pulled my hair completely out), I got those fershlugginer clips in:

I got this figure a couple of weeks ago. Overall is an impresive figure. Though I have a problem with the regular ERS Batman HS and the faceplates. Only the neutral faceplate holds in place, all other kinda fall and don't stick in place...

I took some pictures:

Any fix for the loose faceplates? They hold better on the sonar head.

A few thoughts about this figure:

1. I own Adam's Bruce Wayne, Hot Toys TF Bruce Wayne, DX12 Bruce Wayne, Enterbay Bruce Wayne, and the Bruce Wayne head sculpt from the QS001 is by far the most accurate Bruce Wayne, well done Hot Toys.

2. The Enterbay Batman is just better, no contest about it.

3. If you look the figure from a far distance the head looks undersized but from a close distance it looks ok, so is hard to say.

4. The back of his head is way off.

All other aspects of the figure are great!!.. I'm glad I bought this figure :)

I had a similar issue with a couple faceplates, one way is to spread the round insert apart on the back of the plate so it essentially gets larger diameter. I stuck a tiny piece of flat plastic in there to keep it larger and it fits perfect after that.

Agree with all of this. My faceplates don't stay in the sonar cowl at all. Ah well.

Wow -- I've never read anything about faceplates not perfectly fit on the cowl, and I thought I was the only one who had that issue on mine! The trademark Bale mouth-breathing faceplate is the most problematic, the rest are ok, while the neutral faceplate fits best.

I added girth to the protrusion at the back of the plates using epoxy clay. They all fit perfectly now :)

ya, we all have our own opinions, but I like the QS001 far better than the Enterbay figure. EB figure feels really cheap to me and he looks and feels very stiff. He looks great just standing there with the cape covering him up, but i just see way more life in the Hot Toys version. And you can actually pose the QS001, the EB figure is not easy to pose, especially the legs. I feel like his leg armor will rip really easily.

The QS001 is my favorite HTs figure I own, one of the best things they have ever done IMO. I have all the TDK Trilogy Batmen. Bale face sculpt are amazing, even the full HS is really nice and is the best IMO too. is the suit 100% screen accurate to the smallest detail? No, but none of them really are because scaling down to 1/6 just is impossible to get 100% accurate.

I just feel more life in the QS001. And every pic you see of it, sometimes you think its an actual photo of Bale, the photo above a good example. EB does have great cowl HS, thats EBs strongest area, headsculpts. i just like QS001 far better and I care more about the "entire figure overall" than just HS. But thats just my opinion :)

the HT batman looks great from the front, but not from the side imo.
overall a better package than EB batman, but EB batman cowl sculpt is unbeatable. too bad EB isn't as good as HT in toy engineering or QC.

Exactly

They both have there pros and cons, just the enterbay overall to look at is the nicer and more realistic piece

That's not to say ht didn't outdo themselves with this, because they did

Yah i just feel the opposite. Both are superb HS, but for me overall HTs looks much more life-like and you can actually pose him. I really had hoped HTs does a 1/4 Begins, but i know the odds of that happening now are slim with a new Batman around the corner in a couple of years.

That's cool man, I'm glad you like it!

I too hope they make a begins batman

In scale with enterbay too so we can mix and match, that's the dream

Either one of two things is gonna happen. They'll release a begins version ASAP so they can focus on batfleck for the next few years.

OR, and this might be the worst path, we won't get a begins version until much later down the road when the TDK trilogy is officially seen as classic films alongside the burton films.

I'm really hoping for the former.

My assumption is they want Hot Toys brand, one that is the same size/scale, and no belt issue, and perhaps they don't want to overpay on eBay since it's sold out? Just some guesses.

They think Hot Toys' version, if ever there'd be one, would be better. Possibly. Thanks to Enterbay for showing HT how Batman Begins costume and cowl+faceplates are done, HT's 1/4 Begins costume (which would be their 4th try on the OC maybe?) would not have flaky suits and would already have Bale under the cowl instead of Jay Leno. But as for the figure being more poseable than EB's? Dream on. Even Bale can't move much in his 1:1 suit.

Why people want a Hot toys Batman Begins suit. Isn't the Enterbay TDK OC perfect enough??????

Couldn't have said it better myself. Hell, I think the EB Bats is the ONLY piece you need as far as Nolanverse is concerned if money is a problem.

Such perfection that is likely never going to be achieved by HT. I really don't understand it either.

All I can say is that I'm happy I own both, as any Batman fan should.

Mainly im not a fan of EBs because I do not Mod my figures, i keep them the way the manufacturer intended them to be. So in this case, EBs cape, cape clips, display stand, and belt are a big issue for me. I dont feel that way about HTs 1/4. I am fine with their cape since its long enough. And i just feel HTs put far greater thought and detail into theirs, and it has cooler accessories and a nice display stand.

I don't hate EB's version by any means, its easily the best Begins figure made. Although I know some have bad QC issues, mine is fine. I just would like to see if HTs could make a better version and more in-scale with their 1/4 TDKR. I didn't buy the EB Joker, but i would buy a 1/4 HTs Joker because I think they will make a better Heath HS. Their last DX Heath Joker is one of my favorites ever.

Some dont agree with me, and thats fine. We all have our own tastes, likes and dislikes. If people love EBs figure, thats awesome!! I love the 1/4 HTs TDKR.

its all good :)

Not sure about the rest of the stuff u say but as far as the EB Batman selling out goes, nothing could be further from the truth. The EB Batman begins figure is actually quite cheap most online stores still have it for under $400.

That's strange most people hate the Hot Toys cape and hate the display stand and actually like the EB cape and display stand better. What do u actually like about the display stand? I find it really annoying with all those rocks everywhere. :huh but that is no where near as bad as Hot Toys cape! :horror Havn't people here actually put the EB cape on their QS001 because the cape was so bad? I mean it looks like cardboard!

I doubt they would be able to make a better Ledger Joker since they have failed so many times. The Joker 2.0 has potential but it looks toyish with a duck face, whereas EBs one looks like a real person and when it is repainted it actually looks like Ledger.

I love the HTs stand. I have my Batman nicely placed on it with his legs slightly bent. He looks really nice. I like stands that have some kind of environment designed into them. The EB stand feels really cheap, and the design doesnt have anything to do with the Trilogy. Not to mention on mine the pole was mis-cut, so its was difficult to get it to work.

The HTs cape for me wasn't horrible. Not great, but not horrible. Tony makes great capes and I would like to get one, but I just don't like modding, so im a little torn. The EB cape i feel is much worse because its so short i think he looks really odd with the short cape. atleast the HTs cape has the length. So both are not great, but like I said, HTs has the length which is more important to me. I haven't tried the EB cape on the HTs version. But i can see that might work because EB is a taller figure.

I love the DX 2.0. I dont love the laughing face anyway, but i think its nicely done. I always prefered the closed mouth sculpt. I think the closed mouth sculpt is very life-like. The entire figure is beautifully done. I feel much more life in HTs. Plus your saying "repainted" EBs looks better. Well i don't get my stuff re-painted. So i just like HTs better out of box. I never bought the EB Joker but looked it at LCS when they had it. It was nice, and in-person I thought it was better than most photographs you see. In photos he really looks like he has an exaggerated chin, but in person seeing it in real scale, I thought it looked nice. But I was too late to buy it as it sold out and I am not going to pay eBay prices for it. So ill just admire it. But still, I think if HTs did the Joker in 1/4 I would bet it would be just as nice if not better than EBs. Plus Im trying to keep my collection just HTs and SSC focused. I got rid of all Medicom stuff, and just dont want to start getting EB stuff. I got their Michael Jordan and sold it right away because I thought it was one of the cheapest looking premium figures I had ever seen. Beautiful head sculpt of Jordan, but the clothing and accessories were really cheap. So i sold it before the prices started to tumble on it and I hear there is a lot of QC issues with the different version of it.

Anyway, this is all just my opinion. Others think different. Friends and family have seen my collection, and they are all amazed how real and life-like they are. We as collectors see them everyday and know all the small details and know who HTs and EB are. So for us die-hard collectors, some feel HTs is better, others feel EBs is better. In the end they both make freakin amazing toys. And I love the characters and movies. thats all that really matters.

It does look nicer but it drives me insane trying to get a good standing pose as there are not many options. :gah: As for EB stands looking cheap I do agree with that, I just like it how u can pose him better on them.

Yeah I put Tony's cape on mine. I highly recommend u get that if u want make ur figure look better. I can understand how u want to keep things stock but I think you should make an exception in this case. ;)

Ah so the only problem u had with it was the length I thought you meant it was a poor quality cape.

It's nicely done as it has a nice realistic paint job but I wouldn't exactly call it life-like in the way that EBs one is.:dunno

Plus your saying "repainted" EBs looks better. Well i don't get my stuff re-painted. So i just like HTs better out of box.

I must admit, unless u get it repainted it doesn't look much like Ledger IMO because EB painted the eyes too small and Joker make up face paint isn't accurate. However, with a repaint it looks quite good but still far from perfect.

I can't believe how much it sells for, especially since it is poorly made and usually has a few QC issues with it. :horror

I can understand why as I have heard a lot of problems with the Jordan figures. So u want to stop buying EB figures? I take it when Hot Toys makes their Begins Batman u will sell your EB one?

Oh I wasn't knocking your opinion, the majority of people on here have said they hate the cape and hate the stand. So I wanted to know your reasons for liking those things so much and now I understand why you do.

Oh I see what your saying about the stand, people want him just standing museum posed. yah that would be more difficult on that stand because of the rocks. So its a valid point, but i really like the pose I have. I actually prefer museum poses too, but I really liked giving him a little more dynamic pose using this stand.

yah, i debate back n forth on the Tony cape. I might pull the trigger someday:)

Some may know, i own a 1:1 Begins screen accurate replica suit, so i am familiar with the Begins suit. Spent about 2 years acquiring it, and technically still not finished because I am looking to upgrade the legs. The reason I was disappointed in the EB Begins too was the armor. I was hoping it would be more solid, but its a really thin material. Now from a just looking at it, you wouldnt know of course, this is more just a nit picky thing for me. The real screen used suit is foam latex, and I was hoping it could be more that material or even a urethane material. People who make urethane replicas in 1:1 have done amazing things to make it look like foam latex. Foam latex disintegrates faster ,thats the major issue with foam. But if you take care of it, it can last. The Toy Fair HTs Begins attempted a foam latex version. Its not bad. I appreciate their attempt at it. But as people have seen, it can have issues because its a fragile material. So anyway, its just something that I was hoping at 1/4 scale they could do a more solid foam latex or urethane armor and it would feel more like a the real suit. But the EB material is thin. I mean it looks fantastic, the design and shape they pretty much nailed. But the thinness bothers me only because i have the 1:1. If i never saw a 1:1 I probably wouldn't care. :)

As far as the Cape, no one has really gotten it screen accurate because the material used on the movie is custom made and almost impossible to replicate at 1/6 or 1/4 scale. Tony's capes flow beautifully, and look very movie-like. But the real material they used is nothing like what any manufacturer has attempted in small scale. The 1/4 HTs cape is pretty decent for looking like the screen used cape. But still not right. However I was able to pose the cape ok, not great, with the HTs stock cape. But seeing Tony's, makes me want it just because the flowing and the way it hangs looks really great. The stock cape is bulkier. The EB cape if it was longer would be pretty cool. But they really missed the length. I feel after they probably studied the suit a lot, especially really getting the design and shape of the armor almost perfect, why did they skimp out on the cape length? Even the Takara Batman from 2006 has a long cape.

The EB Belt is also another thing that bothered me. How did they mess up the placement by making it too small to sit around the waist in the correct position? And one small thing, they put the TDK holster for the grapnel gun in with the Begins suit. But that holster was only used for the TDK suit. for Begins, the holster was on the back of the belt. Its fine they added it, just not sure why?

Anyway, i hate nit picking stuff, i really do. I dont do much of it on here. Overall i do like the EB figure, i dont hate it by any means. I dont plan to sell it unless HTs does make a superior one. Ive been obsessed with the Begins suit for a long time, so i really enjoy having any figure they make of it. Its just my little nit picks. Not all will agree with me but maybe some do.

Yah the EB Joker is really expensive now. But if HTs does a 1/4 Joker I will certainly buy it. I bought all the HTs TDK Trilogy releases except for the Camouflage Tumbler because I had no space for it because I am holding out for the 1/12 Bat and the 66 Batmobile. But I wish I bought the camo tumbler:(
