Wishful thinking, but I reckon an electroplated swap-out head sculpt would be really cool for the T-1000...

Are these prone to chipping over time?

I know with the Super 7 Silverhawks figures, they passed on doing the chrome look for the 1.0.

They finally did the chrome with 2.0 but i noticed there’s some chipping when you start articulating the figure.

In ebay the seller shows pics of the sculpt neckless and with the neck but does not give the option to choose when buying. Not buying because I have one painted in silver, not chromed like that one in ebay that its way cooler.

I'm not sure mate. I just stumbled on this today and thought it looked really promising.

I have some Terminator electroplated products though from Nemesis Now and I they have a really impressive electroplated chrome finish. I can't speak to their durability yet as they're only new and I don't handle them a lot. But so far so good. They're definitely more robust then any chrome paint techniques I've tried.

Sold my 1.0 a few years back and have regretted it. I’ll be getting the 2.0. Now if we could get a Sarah and John would be even better.

Today, Hot Toys is excited to officially introduce to fans the 1/6th scale T-1000 (2.0) Collectible Figure based on Terminator 2: Judgment Day!

Crafted based on T-1000’s screen appearance in the film, the new version of 1/6th scale T-1000 collectible figure features two newly developed head sculpts with separate rolling eyeballs: a regular version and a battle-damaged version with liquid metal revealing design, along with three liquid metal effect forearms.

His costumes are also faithfully recreated from a police jacket, a dark blue-colored shirt with details, two pairs of pants for different outfit options, a utility belt, to three types of shoes, including one in liquid metal effect. More detailed accessories and weapons elevating your display include a helmet, a flashlight, a walkie-talkie, a pair of sunglasses, a pair of handcuffs, a submachine gun, a pistol and a set of magnetically attachable liquid metal effects. The finger wagging hand still looks too big. I think they just re-used the same mold. It always looked a little off.

The fact that they gave us 2 finger spike hands makes me think we are getting a Sarah Connor figure cause thats when he used them.

This looks really good. Far more impressed with this than the BD T800 update. Now I just hope the clean 2.0 is just as good.

Marvelous! I want this figure now!

It looks like they are minimizing the pleather finally as even the items in the holster/belt are sculpted.

Looks great!

Really don’t understand HT system when it comes to what’s a DX and what’s not. I guess at this point since the the previous BD T800 was a DX it only made sense to call the 2.0 a DX in the same way that this was originally an MMS therefore this 2.0 is an MMS as well.

Not that any of it really matters, just interesting to me 😅
