Can this be moved to the front page please?

Done, thanks for gathering all the info.

FYI, for future reference, it works best if you Report the post. That way it gets sent to the mod queue, and we can have better visibility on these sorts of things. Fortunately, I was browsing the thread when I came across your post.

No worries thanks for letting me now. FYI it was a straight copy paste from their website.

Baffling how much time has passed between DX10 and this release and we get this little improvement. I would argue DX10 sculpt with glasses on is more accurate- and this is comparing a production piece to a protoype. Bummer

Features are all there. What I see here is, that the head and neck needs to be wider from the chin downwards, so the angle becomes even steeper, being nearly straight down.

Needs to have the mouth of DX10.

Everything else should be fine...

That FIVE head needs to be reworked it ruins the rest of the sculpt which seems to be pretty good. And those sunglasses are too feminine looking. Fix those issues and Ill buy,as It stands my DX10 is better looking.

I feel they are moving further away from the Arnie likeness, I hope this sculpt won’t be the default likeness for when they redo the T1 versions

the sunglasses look especially ridiculous.

Hopefully Tamiya re-releases their 1/6 Fatboy. Or better yet, we get something already built by some other company.

Tamiya's 1/6 model kits are INTENSE IMO, unlike all of the gunpla of the world. Very not friendly to people that are not into it.

I never got the original ones, and these looks great from first glance. The sunglasses does feel off, but I haven't dug deep into why.

But with the amount of props that can create so many classic scenes, I'm going to get it. Might even have to get T-1000 just to do the galleria scene. I was only going to get the BD version, but this one is great to me so far

I can only echo what most people here are saying: my overall first reaction was "meh".

I still see some of the same problems as the 13 year old DX10 has - questionable proportions, neck seem, lack of Arnie neck, so-so likeness. Add to that the weird sunglasses, it really feels like two steps forward, one step back.

On the other hand, the increase in realism alone will be great. HT solicitation pics are often rather crap, with harsh lighting and overblown details. I'd love to see a JC Hong type of shot with the sunglasses on.

My DX10 is the most outdated figure in my collection, and I'd love to upgrade it. A possible InArt seems years away, if it even pans out, so I'll probably go for this one.

He does look good in this shot, where the face isn't lit so weirdly, pronouncing that big V between his eyebrows.

And I like the proportions here (though the forehead and glasses look horrible).

So after the initial disappointment, I do care too much about this look (Galleria with black shirt) not to get this, and this is a figure where I think the actual product might look better than the prototype pics. The same happened to the DX10.

They did a complete overhaul of the portrait for the Obi-Wan from the TV series, a "lesser" version of the character in the overall fandom, there is certainly a chance for refinements to one of the most beloved versions of a character in the history of its franchise. Plus, HT love to do post the "look what we did" shots at release to show they care.
