I said all that too but I reversed the sequence so that the positive about the sculpt was the most recent thing in my head and before I knew it I had clicked the order button.

I just may be clicking the order button too. Not quite yet though. The Canadian dollar is recovering but it's not yet where I want it to be for ordering figures.

My biggest gripe is the lack of movie accuracy but I really doubt they'll make anything else from this movie. And really, when's the last time we had a real good Arnold sculpt as well as paint apps to do it justice? Usually it's one or the other.

I kinda felt it would have been prudent to wait till after the posting date of my next VISA bill so that payment for this figure wouldn't be due till May but once a new Hot Toys figure comes out that I decide I will buy I suddenly have zero patience.

I'm pretty sure they'll make more figures for T6. So they'll maybe do more Arnolds or whatever

Yes James Cameron will win back the rights to Terminator in 2019 which means Paramount pretty much has to make any new movies right now...which they announced they decided not to do.

Cameron will be neck deep in Avatar movies at that time so I'm sure he'll just sit on the license until Arnold is too old to do any more. He said if he made another Terminator film it'd be a full reboot anyway.

T6, 7, 8, 9 etc etc are reportedly on hold ''indefinitely'' so I don't know about that.

Nope, it has always been 3 movies. And Skydance said in october that the dates were no longer the same and T6 filming wouldn't start at the begining of 2016, that they'll do some research first before making the movie.
Guys, don't pay attention to other rumours and sites who don't know what they're talking about, it's confirmed since october that these dates were no longer the same and it's not cancelled, just delayed.

Dana Goldberd confirmed that yes, we will get a sequel, but not in the date they confirmed on 2015.

Check out this article: https://skynetsarmy.wordpress.com/2...ate-of-the-next-terminator-film-was-expected/

So these sites saying that the sequels are cancelled, is bullsh**, this has been known since october, it's not cancelled, the dates are deleted from their calendar because they won't start filming as they announced in 2015.
Furthermore, Arnold recently said of course there is going to be a new sequel.
The same as Avatar 2. Its release date got delayed and we don't know when it'll got released, but it's not cancelled.

Except that Avatar 2 doesn't have a tight 3 year window with which to release multiple sequels.

Yeah, but whenever the rumour of cancellation or "on hold" came out, Skydance came to clarify the issue, saying that there will be a sequel, but just not in the same date.
It's 2016, they can start filming late this year or even in 2017, I don't see the problem.
Plus, I think they're doing the right thing. They started producing T5 whenever they got the rights, they have learnt that Terminator is a franchise that needs more love, effort and dedication whenever you make a movie.

I liked Genisys for what it was, the tone was more or less the same as T2, but with some more jokes (not so many as T3) but... no character development, no really dramatic situations, no limit situations... if they can fix that, I'm in.

Maybe the less than three year deadline will have them put all of their eggs into the basket of making one decent sequel that wraps everything up instead of padding out a "trilogy." Courtney utterly sucks but I still found the movie entertaining overall and would be fine with one more go around.

They could do 2 back to back sequels too but... a trilogy with the quality of Genisys wouldn't make any sense. I insist, I liked Genisys, but I wouldn't accept the next one to be like this one, they have a lot of things to improve.

Given what happened with Salvation I found rumours of cancellation entirely plausible but hey, if they do make a sequel to Genisys I'll watch it. I'm curious about what had happened to the T-800 at the end. Is he now a T-1000 or what.

Yeah, that and the whole "who sent him" question. It'd be funny if due to the success of Deadpool Paramount randomly decided to have the next Terminator film break the fourth wall.

"So Pops, who really did send you?"

*Pops turns to camera* "You did."

The audience becomes self aware, in a panic everyone looks around and tries to pull the plug...

For me, ignoring what it wasn't (James Cameron's future world), Salvation is quite good overall, I thought Bale's Connor was very good, I really liked what Worthington did with Marcus, it was more some of the Skynet storyline stuff that brought it down, again, once you get past it not being the future war everyone wanted to see. Even Yelchin did a good job of coming off like a young Biehn, way more so than Courtney did.

Surprisingly, what makes Genisys enjoyable is old Arnie, he saves it, where most people would right off him still playing the role at his age. He returned the character to T2 status and left the T3 abomination a distant memory and it was great. Even Clarke as Sarah was enjoyable. I think some may not like her in the role because in this movie she was almost supposed to be like T2 Sarah, but it's at the age of T1, which was a young, like college aged girl, so there's a lack of maturity fighting with the warrior and she's a bit of both. It's almost like what Sarah was at some point between T1 and T2 that we never saw.

:lol

''You know what I think? We're marooned, the three of us. We're exiles inside a Hollywood Motion Picture''

''So you see I can kill you''

*theatre audience legs it*

And then he goes all Last Action Hero/The Ring and steps out of the screen. Man I can't wait until 4D movies. :lol

The guy cast as Connor and Courtney were poor casting choices, at least for established characters, maybe if they'd been someone new, but they were weak as Connor and Reese.

but he doesn't even look like Schwarzenegger. extremely short, severely smashed potato face instead of this.

it's a good sculpting work but the sculptor never saw any of Schwarzenegger photos neither from the movie nor from real life.
nothing is right - face shape, skull shape, eyes, hair, skin... nothing.
passable for a normal "i-like-modern-crap" fan but not for you o_O
well i guess HT sculptors have already mutated our minds into "we don't recognise any difference between your bug-eyed faces" attitude.

I agree 100%
I just don't see the likeness in this at all. I would go so far as to say it looks actually cartoony, it bears a resemblance of Arnold but so do the Kenner toys they released.
It's sub par for hot toys

Yea peps can hate on the quality of the Genesys flick, but not seeing how this doll doesn't faithfully represent the Guardian character. That old man Arnold sculpt is spot on. It's early in the year, but right now I would say this is the guy to beat for FOTY.

Completely disagree. I think its one of their best sculpts. They nailed it in my opinion.
