1/6 Hot Toys -Terminator Genisys: T-800 Guardian

Used all my matured Reward Points to date not previously applied to IM MkIII on him. If I was a gambler I'd wait another couple of months and hope for MkIII and Commando to come through, but knowing my luck, shipping restrictions will be in by then, and current order prices in Aus and NZ and estimated shipping dates make Sideshow the best option...

I dug the movie. Saw it 3 times. Will buy it the day it releases on blu-ray. And I am digging this figure. It's definitely a pre-order for me. My only worry is that Hot Toys will do this and the endo and call it quits. I want some more figures from the movie.

Saw the movie and couldn't care less. Not really bad, not good either. They didn't need to make this movie. Arnie was good and I might buy this, cause I like the look. I'll wait to see "in hands" photos.

I still like the resemblance of undamaged head more, and as it is supposed to be more authentic... I wonder if part of what puts people off is that it looks (using the non damaged head) as close to civilian, non movie specific Arnie we've had. Even the non battle damaged figures from the T1 and T2 lineup scream Terminator Arnie....

It does seem to be the better one in terms of likeness to old Arnie although I do like the sculpting of the battle-damage on the other sculpt.

Think I'll pass on the entire T:Genisys line though. These toys are too expensive to not love what they come from.

Looks better than HT's last two Arnie sculpts.

Ya know, i was thinking the might get shelved what with the movie tanking stateside and fading quickly overseas, but....if ASM "Electro" can still end up showing up after that movie has been basically thrown on the heap, re-booted, re-cast and basically left for dead, well...this Arnie from TG may still see the light of day...it is a good looking figure.

I hope HT will tone down the aging to make it more screen accurate. It'd be cool to have two versions, 1984 and 2017 pops but I doubt that will happen.

Terminator: Genisys was mediocre but I may get this Arnie when it gets discounted. Want to pose it with the old Hot Toys Sarah Conner body but pop on that Emilia Clarke headsculpt that's in production from that one sculptor.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. I went in with very low expectations but I quickly found myself enjoying it a lot.

Sadly with prices going up, coupled with the low Canadian dollar I will not be purchasing this figure.

Yeah it's a shame, I was hoping for 2017 Annie and Sarah. At least I'll get the endoskeleton
