Hot Toys: The Avengers: Mark VI Limited Edition Collectible Figurine

While I'm not planning on ordering I'm a bit pissed I couldn't anyway since I'm in Australia and excluded WTF?

To keep it short, this is basically the same “Limited Edition” figure that has already been released, but with a re-used head sculpt and less accessories. Hopefully they've taken the time to fix the paint issues, but I wouldn't doubt that they didn't. It amazes me how well their marketing ploy is still working for them even after all the re-releases.

Sure this is a great alternative for people that missed the first one, but personally I would much rather have the first. I've noticed how many people are pleased with this release, so obviously HT will be making bank on it. Especially since its a reused figure. Then they'll hit us with the actual Avengers Iron Man.

My initial comment was short, simple, and true. I wasn't trying to offend anyone, nor was I trying to bash HT. Either the fanboy inside you, or your own insecurities have led you to your interpretation.

And you clearly were bashing hot toys. Using a phrase like MARKETING PLOY and criticizing the fact that this item exists as it does is proof of that. And thats fine for you to think that way. It comes with a standard HT base that says "Avengers" on it. It does not come with the extra special light up Avengers base.

If you're going to be sensitive, maybe you should be more clear in your posts. And I am sure I understood what your post meant. You're saying you weren't bashing HT but you were.

That would have been cool. I own a Mark VI, so I decided not to go for this. I wonder if we will see a lighted base for the Hot Toys Mark VII release?

so there's 2,000 left?

Not sure if they were sold anywhere else in Asia

I never really trust HT and their 'edition' sizes.

Demon Bats and Scarecrow were supposed to be 3,000 or something and there appeared to be no shortage of those for over a year, in fact there's still more out there. I'm sure I personally tracked 3,000 just myself on ebay.

SideShow is fast, I already got my Fedex shipping notification.
Hopefully Fedex Canada does a quick delivery.

Anyone know if the method sideshow uses to ship to Canada still charges brokerage fees? I did some googling and SideShow said it was suppose to be included in the shipping costs.
