1. No I didn’t need to take in the suit anywhere. It conforms really well to the new shape.
2. I reattached the bodysuit under the crotch, since it was just a single stitch. Helps keep the shirt tucked in.
3. There’s a small piece of black foam under the top of the shoulder armor to lift them a little. But the slope has more to do with just detaching and reattaching to the Velcro at a better angle.
4. No, I haven’t done anything to the thighs or legs.

Generally, a lot of it is futzing. I assume these figures are often assembled quickly and haphazardly at the factory. It always benefits me to take l reassemble all the bits with more thought. This is universal though. InArt’s Joker need just as much reworking/dressing out of the box.
Great, thanks for the info!

Gonna try that at some point

For those who have more than one custom collar, which one do you recommend ?

I'm probably gonna go for the one that osk have on preorder
When I asked about custom collars I heard nothing but crickets as well :lol, so I went ahead and ordered one of those JX collars from Kit (OSK) a while back. To my eyes it looks the same as the one everyone was ordering early on. I think the listing said it would be available in the 2nd Qtr, so hopefully it'll start shipping before too long.

I want to grab that one too but want to know what material it's gunna be made of and only one pic has me skeptical

Okay I'm sure I'll get absolutely flamed for saying this, but I think when comparing to the InArt, just a few mods to the body shape, make a huge difference to the end result. I know not everyone likes to mod, so I understand the immediate preference to InArt. AND I'M NOT SAYING HOT TOYS IS BETTER! Just saying that, as someone who loves to mod any chance I get, I tend to judge a figure on it's potential. And with with a few mods the difference isn't as vast.

Plus, I do prefer the darker slightly shiny paint work on HT's armor. I feel like, without the benefit of film lighting and contrast, the InArt reads a little too matte and pebbled. But certainly that's just my own tastes.

This looks great and excites me to see what the Inart will look like with an equal amount of effort.

I usually prefer sunshine, but I figured I'd do something different for once 🤣
I only got a couple shots of the Batmobile as it started to rain (just some sprinkles, but I didn't want my Batmobile to get wet!). I actually wished it rained a bit more so I can get some shots of Batman in the rain, but sadly the sun came out and it barely rained enough to get the grass wet.

I'll be doing more pictures in a month or so, hopefully the trees are fully grown!

I have the inart version on preorder, so I won't be spending any money on a new collar for this, I'm fine with it as it is. Unless we get some custom capes, because I really don't like either of the capes this came with, which is usual for a hot toys Batman figure sadly.
Awesome pics ScoobyDoo! [ and congrats on getting JazzInc's 2022 Batmobile also! ]

EDIT: Sorry about the wrong thread post, got confused with my tabs and the mult-quote function.

No doubt the HT needs some work and modding to look decent next to InArt Bats. Though I can argue that while that's true it's also just depending on what HT did right and what InArt did right etc. I noticed in Jedha's video that both suits have those ties on the back and the side of the pants, which look completely different. Both got them right in some forum, HT got it right in terms of stuntman suit while InArt also got it right. Inart resembles the knots JND statue has, HT is what the Stuntman suit has. It really depends on reference. Same with the fact InArt is going for the stuntman collar as their main source while HT uses on screen but somewhere it became smaller then their prototype. Also InArt got the belt correct in terms of how it fastens at the back.

But to echo what Rory said the HT can look pretty good if work is done on it. Like most of the time it tends to be the best option for any HT figure that does require it. Here is another example posted on Instagram. If you know someone who can do good work it can end up being amazing in hand. Apologies Rory if you have explained before, but can you outline the mods and how you do them?

Incredible work there.

Sure.

- swapped to a OT Customs collar
- added padding to the traps and lats, while removing some from his obliques.
- split the collar ends of the cape for accuracy
- used some double sided fabric tape to tame his cape
- added a bit of weathering on his suit with a tamiya weathering kit
- took off all the armor and repositioned it to look more screen accurate

I’ll probably have to do half of this to the InArt as well. I’ll have to see it in hand, but I feel like the torso is a bit overly V shaped, with his waist being a touch too narrow and his lats being a bit too wide for me. Likewise, his arms are a little skinny and his groin is comically flat. I also feel his collar is too narrow, so may replace that as well. And I do currently prefer the HT cape, so I bought an extra to swap out potentially.

Honestly, I’d be so disappointed if a figure didn’t have some necessary mods to do, lol. It’s my favorite part of a new figure.

Forgive me if this has already been answered- but I just got the regular release in from sideshow- so this doesn’t come with the gun even though the figure has the holster?
