Looks amazing but there is something about the overall body proportions that makes it look like a kid in dress up. Mainly from some angles.

I think it's the lower half that makes it look off, and maybe his head might be slightly overlarge too. Legs seem kinda short, and the pants a bit too big and loose with the crotch area hanging low which all contribute to him having stubby looking legs.

Here's a comparison with the Prime1 statue. I'm curious how Inart will do the lower half and material of the suit since they'll also have to account for articulation as well.

Prime1 suit isn't even very accurate proportion and material wise. Would've been better to use JND or Queen suit if you wanted to compare. The HT honestly looks more realistic here where the Prime1 looks like sculpted stone.

They have the best headsculpt though

Hi guys, I'm new here, but if I can share my thought, I'd say the Prime1 batsuit is way more accurate. The problem with HT is different glossiness of the batsuit and the chest armor - batsuit is very matt and rough fabric, but the real batsuit is very smooth and more glossy, so the surface is very similar to the chest armor. Thats not a matter of only color change, it will still look wrong until the change of material its made from. I was hoping HT will improve this at the first place... (sorry for my english:) )

I prefer HT for the dull, grey compared the shiny, nylon, "parachute pants" look of the Blitzway statue. Also Pattison looks too bulky in the statue. Re-watched most of The Batman last night, really enjoy that movie, moving towards a HT pre-order on their offering.

Right, that comparison isn't even fair! Yeah the statue looks better....because they MADE it look better, but it isn't accurate.

I just watched the movie on HBO Max and he's officially my favorite Batman. But I'm torn about ordering this figure--of course they'll be upgrading the suit for the next movie and it might have a better cowl (I prefer Keaton-style cowls as they give a much better and more menacing silhouette, and yeah, I know the actors can't move their heads.) So although this figure is a great representation of Batman as he exists in this movie and the updated Pattinson likeness is perfect, I think I might still sit this one out. Also it would be great if they could get rid of the faux-collar thing that the suit has standing up vertically on either side of the neck--I guess that was to hint at the silhouette he'd have had with a thicker neck on the cowl? But it just looks weird and there's no in-universe reason for it to be there that I can see, other than holding his cape in place?

Collars like that can be useful safety features. Racecar drivers wear similar stuff to protect their necks.

I've been hoping to see a collar on the suit for fifteen years, so I was thrilled to finally see it happen. It always seemed like the ultimate solution for maintaining the classic silhouette while allowing Batman to turn his head.

I get why people like the rubber cowls, and indeed I am thrilled the see Keaton sealed in his classic rubber sarcophogous again, but to me the Pattinson cowl is the most comic-accurate cowl we've ever received and I absolutely want them to maintain a similar look in the sequels. It looks like Neal Adams drew the thing into existence.

Great post.

I had the exact same reaction. There's a moment, when he's looking down through the skylight in the rain, and I swear Neal Adams art flew off the page, it was striking.

Anyone else catch the list of writers and artists acknowledged near the end of the credits? I was particularly happy they mentioned Darwyn Cooke.

Watching the special features and seeing a lot of the suit under normal lighting conditions, I definitely wish they had gotten the finish a little closer. I'll be happy to get both this and the InArt version if InArt gets that right.

It's also amazing how slim fitting the suit is.
