I am not naive, I know no matter how much time they get to sculpt Ledger it will never look as good as Adams. However, I don't think it's too much to ask for them to enlarge the eyes, fix the drooping right nostril and have a closed mouth expression.

Paint job is great there, though the clown looks so sad, kinda depressed.. something in the eyes. I've seen some custom 1/6 Ledger's Joker that are just spot on, still they are not neutral, they tend to have the eyes pointin to one direction.

My "contact" in Hong Kong that overcharges me out of the ass just to have things early and be the "first" to post amazingly crappy pics of an item I will later sell at a loss because debt says this will eventually come out.

Please let me know who your contact is, so I'll ask him for inside information to buy stocks at Wall Street, he seems to be an unlimited source of information

Ledger must be really tough to get right if all these companies continue to struggle. The galling thing is HT absolutely nailed the Leto Joker's that no one wants, truly some of their best work of recent times.

Looking through all these images again I do agree HT should have the mouth closed giving him that instantly recognisable pout he had in many scenes. At some point I'm hoping there is a custom laughing sculpt similar to the DX11 alternate head.

I think it has been the same sculptor time after time failing again and again on sculpting Ledger Joker on Hot Toys. So there is no much hope for me

I don't think it's just the eyes, the sculpt overall just has a blank expression.

You mean the eyes are looking sideways? BTW when you say custom Ledger sculpts what artist are you talking about?

There would be hope if Hot Toys would swallow their pride and use Z sculptors and not rely on old school sculpting all the time, look how good Caine's sculpt is.

I only ask because Caine sculpts by hand as well. And I agree, it is FANTASTIC.

Yeah I didn't know all of it was traditional sculpting, well just goes to show how bad Hot Toys are, if someone other than Adam, can pretty much knock the likeness of Ledger out of the park.

Thanks for the pic, after your post I looked it up, I see its sculpted in wax, I think overall it is better than Creg's but the head shape is not as accurate as Cregs. I believe it's hard to get now.

My final flex payment has been moved from April to May. I guess that wouldn’t count as a delay though since they’ve given a range of April - June. It’s been a while since I preordered a figure. I mostly collect statues. Does Hot Toys typically have delays? And if so, how bad are they typically?

Yes they do, not sure how long WWBVS figure was delayed but I know it came out after a lengthy delay. Delays can be caused by several things, like trying to release too many figures at the same time and other things if they feel the need to go back and revise the sculpt or other issues regarding the figure.

Was the T1 Terminator ever shown? Would love to see that and something other than superheroes in 1/4 scale. That said I also really want 89 Batman in 1/4 and a Reeve Superman.

Yes they are the bald one in the middle is his first one he did, the face was too narrow so he made his other sculpts with a wider face. The one after that one based on one of the scenes in the movie, hence the different expression, to the others. The sculpts in the top and bottom pics are of the same sculpt, version 2.0 i believe.

Those sculpts on their own are cheap, but getting them painted and haired is not, still even after painted and haired, you not looking at much more than 1/2 a K if that for each sculpt.

Those are all 1/6th but Creg has done 1/4 scale in the past and is doing another 1/4 scale soon. The problem is to get a 1/4 scale customized it will cost a lot of money, unless he does a sculpted hair one.
