Are the artisan figures only available at sideshow?

Hot Toy's timing was perfect. They waited until the InArt Jokers were "mostly" shipped out and received, then announced their's.
InArt's are sold out and no longer an immediate competitor to their coming pre-order. Heck, we've already soon a number of posts where those that already have the InArt will be picking up the Hot Toys, as well.
Finally, they are offering a single haired version in a significantly smaller shipping box which equals significantly cheaper shipping. If the production version comes out better than the InArt, there's going to be a lot of gnashing of teeth...

Sideshow or one of the HK sellers. So it’ll probably be tough battling the Sideshow website/queue system.

Yeah i read limited to 4000? So honestly fat chance of quite a few of us ever getting the figure, why don't they just mass distribute it.

Yep, that’s why I’m saying it probably will be tough getting both. Let alone one of them. I’m going to try and hope I get one of them. I’m okay with them both. Wouldn’t get the sculpted Joker though.

InArt is the same way though right? They don’t outright number but they cap pre-orders fairly early on.

Was it? There was a time where it kept going up for pre order after it sold out when it was being distributed internationally, but I'd imagine the number was higher than 4000
InArt originally had a 3 day window, but then opened back up 1 to 2 more times before actually closing the POs if I remember correctly. The difference being that everyone who wanted one could order as many as they wanted at those times, regardless which one you ordered. But with this one from HT, there’s a set number being made so only the lucky few will be able to get an order in.
I believe member RRX who’s part of LimToys mentioned that InArt’s numbers were pretty high, higher than 4000 for sure I just don’t remember the number quoted.

It probably makes sense from Hot Toys end of things though. These offerings are their first in this Artisan line on top of all the other figures they’re making. They probably want to see how well these do/are received before making a bunch of them.
Yea my best friend get the Jordan’s and when I told her about this and Anakin she was like “yup, that sounds like me when I’m trying to get my shoes”
I would say it’s more they don’t have the capacity l/man power yet to make these at the standard numbers of a typical release rather than taking a wait and see approach.
Also, scarcity creates demand so they don’t have to worry about any of these sitting on the shelf ending up at deep discount b/c the limited nature guarantees a sell out.
I still think they should have a window, even if it’s just 2-3 days, then permanently close the PO. That would still limit the number made and give the ppl who really want it a solid chance to order
They can make several Jokers still if this does well.

I feel like whilst this is highly unlikely, hot toys may have already made 4000 of these and have them ready to go just to get them out asap

The big difference is time though, usually with shoes you have anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes before they're sold out, seems like these usually take 10-20 minutes. As long as the site is running smoothly I shouldn't have any issues getting in and out.
Basically what I'm saying is that ive trained my entire life for this moment.
Edit: realized this is the Jokor thread not Onokin, wont be going for the rooted Jokor.

Just like the good old days when HT was directly competing against Enterbay's Terminator with their own, even touting real leather to compete with Enterbays real leather... now here we are with HT doing rooted TDK Joker to compete in response to Inarts rooted TDK joker.
If Inart fizzles out HT will go back to their complacent ways just as they did when Enterbay was defeated (going back to crappy pleather for so many years etc)
