Look at the people who bought Bobby C sculpts and Adam Gu sculpts. Customs can generally look better, but what you pay into it and what you could sell it for thereafter will always be less. Like licensed figures when a superior version comes out. I've seen too many listings go for significantly less than what the project run was for a custom figure. What IA and HT are doing is bridging the gap in quality and accuracy vs custom figures. However, after buying all versions of a licensed figure, you may as well have paid for a top-notch custom figure lol. However, now you have more figures to display vs one. Really depends on what your poison is but I can't go down the custom route road. The few custom heads I bought I had to sell because something better came along and of course, lost money. To each their own.

It says "limited edition: 4000" for Artisan Joker on Sideshow.

The thing is though, who verifies that and what does it mean?
It’s pretty vague information and it could mean a lot of different things. 4000 total? 4000 for a first run, 4000 for release in non-Hong Kong territories?
I’m just speculating, obviously, and I was also just passing along information I was told that I don’t have the ability to vouch for.
But I think it’s interesting, and I wouldn’t put it past Hot Toys to produce more of something than they initially announced anyway.

Same. I think there are some poses that are complimented by the tongue, but the teeth are more versatile and I wouldn't want to damage the hair swapping back and forth too often.

I can’t really agree there, it’s been two years and only three sculpts have surfaced worthy of buying. There’s not a lot of customizers out there that are trying to make the best Ledger these days. Only five limited to 100-200 unit custom outfit runs over the span of 13 years.

That’s not a lot at all for the most popular character in comic book film of all time, or this hobby for the matter.

My point was, it would seem the golden days of curating a perfect Ledger are behind us now. Not many tailors around the hobby to actually nail the suit, the same can be said about sculptors. I could see a sculpt by Mille in the future that might land on the list. Other than that? Doesn’t look too bright.

I want there to be better product available in the custom world for Ledger, as I’m always striving for better, though it isn’t something that has had any traction as of late. Mostly due to these companies throwing their versions into the mix I believe.

Joker's 'hot' right now because of InArt and Artisan. That got more custom heads going. Yes, things will cool and subside as the market gets saturated and people run low on funds... and put together what is now the "best Ledger Joker" available. But you know that only lasts until InArt and HT (or JND or who knows who) announce Joker 2.0 figures, and the whole damn thing repeats. Will that be in one year or five, I don't know but it is a guarantee.

I agree it seems to be never ending, but over the span of 13 years and we only have 5 hard to come by custom outfits and less than 10 sculpts that have managed to capture Heath’s likeness. That’s zero for a character this big over a time that long, it’s the character that is responsible for the custom scene being what it is today.

Not sure about Aries and Kato,

Impossible to find Kato or Iris parts now.

Pretty much no one owns the Aries suit due to her absurd price hike.

Wonder left a lot to be desired and ignored all of my notes back in Jan ‘23 before getting deep into production.

The only good parts from the Yunsil suit are the shirt, tie and pants.

Addblue wants $2k+ for his Bank Robber suit, no telling what he’d ask for on a Purple coat version.

I’ve tried to speed up the process but og run organizers don’t want an end all be all Ledger.

With the right tailor, along with the right notes and guide, that suit could be done exceptionally well, never to be topped.

There’s no reason we don’t have a definitive version yet. I’m talking about details down to the slanted waistcoat pockets, dotted pinstripe pants to scale, two swappable gold and silver pocket chains, accurate coat detailing with proper sleeve cuff buttons just to name a few.

The blending at the hairline between sculpted edge and rooted hair starts is really wall done

Bane’s a good release it appears, a bit oversized but a huge improvement over the 1.0. For me with Nolan, it’s Ledger and Bale in their different suits instead of a full Rogues Gallery.

So like a Bank Robber, Purple Coat, Interrogation, Begins Batsuit, Armani Suit, TDK Batsuit. I am getting an Armory and have the Bat-Pod also.
