Why does mp always have to soften up at all? why can't they put out the same sculpt? Would be nice if they would put out exactly what they tease in these photos.

I'm hoping there's some room to heat/reshape the hair a little bit. I'd like to slightly push in the some of the puff. Plus, a little futzing with the collar and coat to narrow everything a tad.

That's very impressive detail. Did he have that many wrinkles in the film?

The expression reminds me of the "We gotta do everything yourself, don't we" scene.

Looks great -- but the additional skin texture really does make it look like if Ledger was reprising his role as the Joker in a sequel today... compared to the very young, smooth face of the Joker below from 2008.

Still though, HT and JC did a bang-up job on this Joker. Sad it took them this long when clearly they have been capable of more for a very long time. If you don't like InArt, you should at least be thanking them for giving HT a good kick in the pants to get you better stuff.

I agree it's a bit over textured/wrinkled in this proto. My hope is that production will inevitably soften it up. Frankly, my biggest grip with InArt's is that the face and makeup are too soft and smooth. So this is a welcome change to me.

To be fair, they had to outsource the sculpt from Lu1yo314. With Hot Toys just doing the hair and hollowing out the eyes for the PERs. I don't think they would have done nearly as good of a job on the likeness factor had they let their own in-house artists tackle this, as evidenced from their 20 previous attempts at Heath's face.

At this point, I feel like they must have Yulli on some sort of guaranteed contract or something for everything Joker considering her name is even on this one despite the OG sculpt being outsourced.:lol

So, you're saying HT is not really capable of this level of goodness on its own? I see....

This HT sculpt definitely captures the more 'horrific' aspects of the Ledger Joker face -- Joker, the monster.

Now that we know they outsource and use digital prints, I see no reason for them to not include a smiling headsculpt.

This is also one of Lu1yo314’s pieces,

Please, no more serious Ledger Joker. Do something different.

Batman is the serious one, Joker is a clown.

It does boggle my mind how HT are openly aware of the custom world and how many people make bank off commissions and headsculpts, yet they’ve never seen fit to pound out some accessory packs filled with a bunch of re-used B.S. they’ve already produced, a couple new items, and a head sculpt for $150-200.

It’s weird how it’s giving off so many different vibes depending on the shot. In the video, it’s the cocktail party/fundraiser and “hello beautiful.” In the promo photos/on display, it’s “hit me,” and, here, it feels like the pool table/ “wanna know how I got these scars” scene.
Honestly that’s a good thing for me, combining the variety of the scenes makes his face versatile and not just be locked in one specific shot. But I’m really liking this expression than a flat serious overdone joker.

Same here, Im really impressed with the sculpted hair, but I believe the rooted could be even better, if they make some changes, but will they? Also i dont know where to order the rooted version, i foun only Popcollectibles, where its pricey af. Are there any other options where its on preorder? (except facebook, i dont have account, still resisting:))
Kit has the sculpted hair, but for rooted I know pop collectibles and the other ToySWoNDerlANd where no one should buy there at all. Sideshow has rsvp for rooted but I’m almost certain it’s not guaranteed.

I’m kind of tempted to get the rooted and maybe research some spray to flatten the hair a bit. At least there’s ways to manipulate it, although wish we didn’t have to.

Because they can charge $400-$700 instead, and people will still buy it.
