It’s the identical sculpt so certainly shows the possibilities.

Just to be clear you mean identical as in from the same scene / going for the same expression - correct?

And yes I agree - given that we’ve seen such a high degree of realism with these customs, the HT factory paint apps don’t really impress me much

No I mean it’s actually the same sculpt.

HT bought the custom sculpt for mass production.

Interesting how the body underneath is black so you can't really do any interrogation inspired poses. I was considering buying some DX11 bare hands a few weeks ago too. Glad I didn't. Guess you could still do the sleeves down, sitting in the jail cell pose if you can get the sleeves to completely cover the forearms.

Why the hell would they do that 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

See... If I have to rack up even more Joker parts, I'll be very tempted to go for the interrogation look with enough spares. But then I'll have to use an Inart body to use the damn forearms. And I really want to use those for the purple coats...

Why can't Inart just sell separate bodies?

Honestly, I’m so damn pleased with how this guy turned out. At every turn, I was apprehensive, but I was hoping they could, at least, match that prototype in their original video and I’m genuinely impressed with how it turned out. Is it as good as the custom sculpt? Definitely not, but considering that custom sculpt probably costs twice what this figure does, I’m elated. Paid mine off early today in the hopes that Sideshow can deliver a Christmas miracle and have him out by next month. I’m doubtful, but stranger things have happened…

I’m also excited to finally have a use for the stray detonator Kit sent after I’d already traded up on the InArt set.:lol

Given the level of scrutiny TDK Joker stuff tends to get, I'm a little surprised no one pointed out that HT got the details of the shoes fairly correct this time with the swirl on the heels and the star/sunrise pattern on the sole. To me, these are much better than previous attempts and better than my Wonder World shoes.

It’s definitely an odd choice, but it’s typically fairly easy to swap out arms on HT figures should you choose to do so.

Probably just not really profitable. HT used to do that but stopped once they realized they couldn't compete for cheaper KOs of their own bodies along with other companies emerging like Phicen and Worldbox. The last official bodies that HT released over 10 years ago now were the updated DX10 Arnold body (TTM 20), the slim body (TTM22) and the standard/regular body (TTM21).

Pretty sure someone will evetually make a KO of the InArt body or at least one that is compatible with same size wrist joints, etc.

If this looks as good in hand as the material so far suggests I might have a new favorite hot toys headsculpt to replace Yondu.

I love that base. Simple but effective. I'll have to figure out my wiring so I can run USB to my display.
