Absurd that passes through QC

Oof… saw this in a FB group. The owner isn’t fond of their copy. That weird crusty line above the hair line and that long mane

That doesn't look good but how common is this? That obvious change from sculpted plastic to the glued on hair just looks terrible.

That does look really bad BUT I don’t think that’s all HT fault. The hairline yes, but the rest looks like they tried and failed at styling the hair.

I will say, for the most part, HT did drop the ball on the rooted hair for this release. Shame b/c they had a chance to really show up InArt with this one if they wanted to.

I hope they get a refund for that. A limited release shouldn't have QC issues this bad.

Yeah what the hell... it does almost seem like the owner tried to style it badly.... but who knows. And god damn, he needs to futz that thing, the pose and clothing isn't doing it any favors.

I received mine a few days ago and I'd say the hair is better than my Inart Heath Jokers, and certainly better than the proto. Even in my crappy phone pics, these two almost look like they're from different companies.

Just need to hope it doesn't start balding for real.

I'm debating on cancelling mine currently on payment plan after the influx of bad QC on the hair.

I'd be sending that back if that was mine and people complain about Inarts hair.

Looks like sloppy work. Best bet is to pull the hair behind the ear on one side. Really should not have to do mini styling as customers.

More and more glad that the Artisan was sold out and I settled for the sculpted. It looks really good and much lower risk of poor QC it would seem...

Looks great here, but pardon me is there any significant improvements by removing the padding?

Mine should be here this week. If the hair line looks bad I’m going to ask for a refund. They stated the limited edition run was to control the QC closely. But seeing a lot of poorly done hair. I’d be fine with a sculpted version, those turned out great!

Mines arrived from sideshow today, currently at work but hoping it’s a decent one!
I had the sculpted version on order and it looked fine, but I sold it on as I didn’t need two.
Hope I don’t regret it

I was surprised how good mine looked out of the box but it makes sense since 90% of photos you see of this is either from a cellphone, that will never look right, or over edited. The bad hair days really are unacceptable though, for a limited piece requiring lots of manual styling like these heads, you should have manual qc as well.

I think a huge factor is…some people need their eyes checked. Like, genuinely. I feel like people look at “futzing” and photography like it’s rocket science or like you need to perform surgery to make a figure look good instead of just trusting your instincts and being objective about what works or not. These things are just like mini-people and the same rules apply. From some of the photos I’ve seen over the years, you’d think some people had never had to fix their hair or iron a pair of pants.

Is your artisan stock though or did you do some modding to yours? Just curious.

Replying to myself like a weirdo but quickly opened mine up to check it and I’m more than happy with it. Hair looks great, needs minimal futzing and the vest is perfect no clasp showing.
Don’t have the time to open him up properly until the wkend which is annoyin tho
