I'm not sure I'd want a replacement head even if they were available. I can't see this issue ever being truly fixed.

I'd just go for the full refund.

This is one of the if not the worst QC issue of all time. This was Hot Toys most expensive Artisan. If you bought on sideshow or on the aftermarket you spent $550 or $600+. One guy on Reddit said he spent $750. That’s crazy.

I disagree I think this actually is their worst QC. A balding joker especially if you bought on the after market you have no come back for replacements.

This is Hot Toys first marketed Artisan (I know Wonder Woman and Imposter J technically is), so you are the guinea pig if you bought it.

Just got mine last week and. Do we know if this is for all batches? I checked mine and the hair and styling seem better than the first ones I saw.

It's not a matter of the hair itself or the styling. It's the glue that is degrading or whatever it's doing. Seems to me it's not a matter of IF it's alright but rather WHEN it's gonna happen.

Correct. But, Wonder Woman will have been out for 2 years now this summer which is fast approaching and no reported issues. This glue issue is more than likely isolated to this Joker figure. Doesn’t make it suck any less for those having the problems, though.

So how many reported cases of Rogaine Joker does that make? Two out of 4000+ released figures so far? And no reported issues with Imposter Joker that’s been out for a few months now?

Curious if this is just a couple panic inducing, isolated issues due to a flaw in the manufacturing process or some other issue caused by where the figures have been displayed or how they were handled or if it is actually a widespread problem.
Seems to be 3 reported of the hair falling out. Pretty sure I’d be in the same spot had I not gotten the replacement. Then there was a reported case of the orange coloring of the glue earlier in the thread. So, I guess 5 total as far as hair related QC goes. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see a rise in reports as more ppl start to actually investigate their figures, though. So many ppl just take the figure out, plop it on a stand and call it a day without a second look. Even with the recent reported cases, these ppl only looked at the hair more closely after the one extreme case. It baffles me how many ppl pay all this money and don’t thoroughly look over the figures to check for QC issues when they arrive.

Some earlier photos from users here showed the seam on the hairline.

My friend got one. I'll probably try to see it in person and just get an idea how this thing is.

Hot Toys is introducing a groundbreaking balding technology, accurate to Ledger's receding hairline.

And people are whining about Hot Toys, instead of praising their innovation.

This hobby has become toxic.

I mean, we did complain that the impostor version and early protos had the hairline low and hair too thick but I think they went overboard in correcting it. 🤣
