What? Yes they do indeed take Paypal.

I've payed for three different items through Sideshow's website using my PayPal balance.

The catch is that you can't use Paypal for preorders, just for stuff that gets charged immediately. The Avengers Mark VI for example, I payed with Paypal.

wow didn't know that .

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

I've never liked BBTS, prices always seem inflated compared to places like alterego or sideshow. But that's just me, I've used paypal only for ebay and buying something on here from a member. But Paypal is a very nice alternative to using credit cards.

Huh??
For the TDKR Batman....Sideshow for me is almost $290 after tax and shipping.
BBTS only ran me $250 WITH shipping.

:dunno

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

And plus not to mention you have to pay EXTRA for a pack-out i.e. better shipping. BBTS includes it.

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

Never used AlterEgo ... but the sticker-price at BBTS is almost always cheaper than Sideshow, and its usually cheaper including shipping. Joker 2.0 is $15 cheaper with shipping than SS. The TDKR Batman is $10 cheaper at BBTS with shipping.

Exclusives are sometimes the exception, though. The BB Batman/Wayne exclusive is the only time I used SS instead of BBTS. As I understand it, BBTS had to buy their stock through SS like we did -- and they had to add profit margin into the price.

If you do some weird calculation with reward points, it may break even. I've never found reward points to be rewarding enough to bother. If you live in CA and get charged tax, that may throw it off, too.

The only time I go with SSC is when I want to Flex it. Thats it.

I love the FLEX option. Makes it somewhat easier to bear when there are alot of figures I want to get. Always easier getting multiple smaller payments than one larger sum.

That being said, I also love BBTS and will use for most of my items.

If BBTS or Alter Ego had a flex option... that would be it. :lol

You can always just flex-pay by yourself. Take $60 a month -- or $15 a week --and put it in an envelope until the damn thing is paid for. Done. Deposit the cash when its time to pay.

You get the lower BBTS price, and the SS flex pay. Ain't all that complicated.

Good point, if I wasn't so bad at letting cash burn a whole in my pocket. :slap

I SUCK at money management. 22 years old and I still waste money like a 6 year old at an icecream truck. :lol

Yeah well I am 23 years old, been in this hobby for a few months and have spent more than I anticipated and have way too many pre-ordered:panic:

Probably doesn't help that I have just bought an engagement ring and plan on moving out in September/October....:rotfl

Oh well, least I will have awesome stuff to look at.

Then, never put it in your pocket. If you don't have it with you, you can't spend it. Envelope in the desk drawer.

Keep it in hundreds and its easier -- more painful to break a hundred than to take one five out of twenty. I have $300 cash on me at all times. Redneck emergency fund. Keep it in hundreds rather than small bills and you can't use it on parking, or tolls, or fast food, or to pay the pizza man.

I'm 34. Trust me, if you can learn money management at 22, you'll be way ahead of the game. I basically do flex-pay on my own.

You are wise beyond your years. :lol

I'm 32, married, two kids, house payments, and college loans to pay off. Believe me, I make it seem worse than it really is. Like so many other people now a days we have to budget more and don't always have the opportunity to stash cash.

I am going to try that though to help have the cash ready. Cuz I really do like BBTS. Mainly because they are located in WI like me and I get my stuff within 2 days of delivery.

Yeah fast food is where my funds get me...that and cigarettes. :slap

Right there with ya -- wife, three kids under 7, house, daycare (which actually costs more than my goddamn house), two cars, law school loans, disney vacation coming up, short unemployment stint earlier this year. There's always something. No credit cards though. Still working through the Dave Ramsey plan on the student loans.

You must live in CA. No tax from BBTS. I'm in the same predicament as you. Unless there is a must have EX, use another retailer other than SSC.
