This is probably a really dumb question but I cant find an answer anywhere - is this available to buy at SDCC?

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

Never used AlterEgo ... but the sticker-price at BBTS is almost always cheaper than Sideshow, and its usually cheaper including shipping. Joker 2.0 is $15 cheaper with shipping than SS. The TDKR Batman is $10 cheaper at BBTS with shipping.

Exclusives are sometimes the exception, though. The BB Batman/Wayne exclusive is the only time I used SS instead of BBTS. As I understand it, BBTS had to buy their stock through SS like we did -- and they had to add profit margin into the price.

If you do some weird calculation with reward points, it may break even. I've never found reward points to be rewarding enough to bother. If you live in CA and get charged tax, that may throw it off, too.

Hmmmmm interesting, I've only looked at BBTS for my imported firgures like transformers or Evangelion type stuff, the masterpiece line is an arm and a leg before Hasbro started releasing them. I've always found something for cheaper on anther site than what BBTS sold it. And for Hot Toys, if I can't get it at Alterego, which is my first choice, then Sideshow is my next one. I might be more inclined for sideshow for their flex payments though. But I think Alterego is starting to do that now as well, but I think it's only the first 30 days the preorders are up.

And I've never bought anything off of sideshow without preordering first, sorry, I didn't know they offered Paypal as a buy it now kind of thing. We'll see if Gordon gets past the preorder phase.

Just looked at BBTS website, I see they offer preorder discounts and generally lower prices than Sideshow. They didn't do that before, but I stopped looking at their site about 5 years ago before they had things like that. Good to know, might get some future Transformer stuff from them.

Is the release date of this figure, similar to Rescue CA?

I've never liked BBTS, prices always seem inflated compared to places like alterego or sideshow. But that's just me, I've used paypal only for ebay and buying something on here from a member. But Paypal is a very nice alternative to using credit cards.

I only use Paypal for figures. The only exception I ever made was the SS Exclusive Batman last year. But I use it because I know myself. If I started putting things on a credit card it would get... dicey. With Paypal, if I don't have the cash in my account, I don't buy something.

So I've bought almost everything at CSC. The downside is their return / cancellation policy is weak. The other downside is not being able to buy from SSC regularly, at least when there's an exclusive I'd like.

I'm pretty sure SS will now let you pay with paypal.....I could be wrong...

Yes they do Accept Paypal but only for US customers and they started this a couple of months back if I'm not mistaken.

They had mentioned that in a Newsletter (I guess it was exclusively for this announcement) or was it on facebook, I don't quite remember. :monkey1

I'm surprised about this too!

I can kind of understand not revealing too many figures at the con, but the specs for Gordon and Angelica have already been released.

It makes sense to have them there.

I'm also surprised at the omissions from HT's. We have Red Skull, the Predators and the Gantry (which have already been released)

But no Tron Light Cycle? What about Iron Monger?

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

Yeah, kinda lackluster, the hot toys facebook site is more exciting...
i guess sideshow wanna push their own ____ more now rather than something they resell in the US

Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Lt. Jim Gordon S.W.A.T suit version Figure - Specs & Pic

Is this something that once its up for preorder it ships pretty quickly? If I remember right there wasn't much wait for the other exclusives because aren't they supposed to be show ready for sale?

Thanks for the answer, now that I think about it you're right, I ordered the Batman last year and I got him around october, still a pretty quick turn around from specs to release though, just a few months.
