I think I'm one of the only people excited for this figure haha

Do you really prefer this Luke to the one in Crait?

I have a feeling they will make the Crait Luke eventually. If he comes back as a Force ghost in Episode IX, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the outfit he wears.

I kinda do. It's a much more interesting and complex outfit than the rather basic looking Crait outfit, and Hamill just looks so much better with the gray hair and beard versus the weird and distracting Just For Men beard.

Which isn't to say I won't want to get the Crait Luke anyway when it comes out. :D

Kinda. It's a more interesting costume (especially for a figure) IMO and the sculpt on the TLJ head is the closest to Hamill we've gotten, I think. Also, even though his projection moment was epic and everything, I think for displaying with Resistance Rey, I prefer the TLJ outfit. That's what he wears when he tells her about the Jedi, about the legend he became, etc. So as far as representation from the island or Luke/Rey as a whole, I think Resistance Rey and TLJ Exile Luke is best fit.

The projection one could be cool too if they make it, but it's different enough that it could even represent a different time in Luke's life. Kinda like how having both ROTJ/ESB doesn't bug me.

One thing that majorly bugs me about the Crait outfit is that his lightsaber is hanging to the right (insert joke here) on his belt. Seriously though, could they not have at least kept it to the left like he wore it in every other movie?

I just figure a projection is like a mirror image. That’s why it was on the other side. :dunno

I think the simple answer is because they had no respect for anything that established prior to this awful movie.

Something that could easily be solved flipping the frames.

He is right handed though. Maybe not carrying a blaster let him put the saber on his preferred side after all these years. That didn't bother me at all but I noticed it.

I think you might have responded to the wrong comment, because I didn't say anything about what side he had his saber on or anything lol.

I guess it doesn't make much difference really, just odd that they chose to put it on the wrong side as wearing it on the left is an established character trait for Luke. Traditionally, right handed sword (or lightsaber) wielders draw from the left as it's easier to pull from the sheath or belt and get into a defensive position.

I was MUCH less bothered by the movie's ending than the fact
that Luke even thought about killing his nephew for something he hasn't even done yet... this is a guy who went out of his way to save DARTH VADER who has done countless atrocities at that point already!

No more spoiler tags needed for this movie.

I’m actually looking forward to this outfit as well. Have the TFA one and it’s growing on me but I still think the sculpt is better on TLJ version.

All told they did purchasers of the TFA version justice by having that outfit a good amount of time in TLJ. I’m curious all told which of the two outfits ended up with more screen time.
