If HT had a care about symmetry they'd do another Tech Noir version much like they made clean T2 T-800 twice (MMS117 & DX10). And they've changed things since they made MMS136 - new bodies and larger heads. Conceivably this Police Shootout figure is going to have a larger head creating a bit of an inconsistency.
Having said that, MMS136 isn't as badly off as MMS117 was. The body size pretty much works correctly for T1 and even if the shape is wrong the outfit disguises it where the T2 leathers did not. The 136 headsculpts, even though they're based off of toadface 117, don't look horribly wrong. I still think they're squashed but frankly I don't have faith in HT to correct that and not **** up something else so on balance it's probably as good as it will get.
So I dunno if it's something HT would consider unless they see money in catering to people who weren't collecting when 136 came out.

2 - Terrific figure, rave reviews. Has a BD head. Just not the BD head with light up eye PLUS the ultra cool "Get OUt!" head with light up eye we get with this. This pretty much sealed it for me.
3 - Yes, average in the $350 secondary market range (lower in many cases)
4 - Why pay 350 when you can get this for less.

Holy crap, for the longest time 136 Tech Noir went for about the $180-$220 range. It was like perpetually stuck in that zone. Just checked completed listings and it actually does go for $350+ (some even ended at 450 and 500).
WTF? I remember thinking $180 was too much back when it was the highest prices figure to date (before Reeve Supes, DX '89 and Toy Fairs figures). Crazy. I still have three of this guy (don't know why I bought a third, but I was obsessed with this fig when it first debuted), I may have to sell one. I just sold a bunch of Dark Knight Hot Toys figures for hundreds more than what I paid and the feeling of getting that much back felt better than owning them, especially Two-Face.
I bet it goes up even higher when Police Shootout arrives.

If I remember correctly it was Last Stand Wolverine that past the $200 bench mark for a regular figure. Today we are reaching $300. I purchased my Tech Noir for $170 total. A time when I was waiting for Indiana Jones and Jack Sparrow to be release for $220. Damn you Wolverine!!!!
Tech Noir rocks! I bought it and kept it when most were dumping theirs. There's something unique about that one, especially the clean head (the surfer Arnold hair). It just screams 1984 Arnold. It's also so different because you get used to Arnold in black leather but the jacket here actually has more detail and texture.

I was always surprised it didn't go up higher sooner, it was then and still is now a stellar figure. It was and pretty much still is one of my favorite figures ever made, I got 1 on display and 3 still sealed in the brown shippers. No plans on ever selling them.

I remember when specs/pics first went up, I went crazy. Probably one of the most exciting times in this hobby. I enjoyed the hell out of all the moody marketing pics for the figure like at Tech Noir, in the parking garage holding the shot gun, the surgery scene, opening the door at the house of "wrong Sarah" . . .
Then when I received my first one, within 10 mins of opening I was like, "need moar". Along with the head sculpts, the crazy black neon 80s shirt and studded/chained jacket are my favorite parts. Like you said, it was the first time we got something other than the sunglasses/leather look.

I had pretty much the same response upon opening the technoir, I had it in my head that I could stop collecting after this release at the time, I figured it couldn't get better than this.......That didn't quite work out
I'm looking at mine right now, still center stage on my Terminator shelf, still the most distinctive Terminator figure of the bunch. And it isn't even that threatening looking as a figure... but its got that great, mean-looking Arnold sculpt, and the bulk to back it up. And the figure is surprisingly heavy. Like its solid rubber or something. I hope this new one is the same weight. I like it. Feels like there's an endo inside.
The tech noir figure is great but it is a little pinheaded.
I would say Dutch is on the small side, but Tech Noir looks fine to me. They all look pinheaded next to the DX13 though, so I guess it really depends on what Terminators you have standing next to each other on the shelf.

I have both of my Tech Noir figures on the top shelf of my Terminator detolf. It is still my favorite of all my Terminators (yes, even DX13 )

Nothing wrong with that buddy. It's an excellent Arnie and worthy of top shelf honors.
Same here on both counts. I've still got two of them (only figure I have multiples of I think), and used parts from a 3rd for my existing police shootout bash. I'm obviously excited about the new figure, but doubt I will like it as much as the Tech Noir.

Not pointing fingers, but it's hilarious how some will refer to the MMS136 as 'dated' in any capacity. Sure, there's a-dev's crumpled face argument - but if you're going to be like that, then they're all a miss in their own way. The DX10 has the most ****ed up head as far as I'm concerned.
The Tech Noir Arnold is a stand out piece - a solid release, & part of a bygone era with HT, where they actually DID give you some bang for your buck once upon a time. Now, it's all deluxe bases that no one asked for, some useless accessory, or PERS on something that shouldn't have been considered for it in the first place.
