I think I still Like the Teck Noir more.

I wonder if HT will revisit the 1/4 police shootout Arnold now or will it stay shelved. I'm still hoping they go forward with that.

I'm giving serious thought to not getting this figure. As much as the head sculpts are ok (the BD one is awesome) I'm not liking the proportions as the head looks too big for the body, which itself is too small. If only the Tech Noir head sculpts were better I'd get that. As it is I'm afraid I may have to wait for the perfect T1 figure to go with my DX-13. 😔

Your points are valid, however the Perfect T1 figure is a myth, this figure is very good, lots to like but with the big head it does make the body look smaller on top of it being the wrong size to being with as it was created to match Arnolds body in T2. Technoir had the body size right, but after seeing the new head next to the old BD 136 head the newer heads are better. There is no better Police shootout figure on the market, not likely to be for many more years to come honestly, so enjoy it for what it is or pass, the choice is yours.

Save your money. Your concerns will never be satisfied in hand and you'll lose money on the flip.

I have to say, it is funny that so many are now praising the Tech Noir figure, which was originally blasted here and was not very popular. I remember the term "pinhead" being used. :lol HT must have heard and gave you this T1.

I'm not even sure of that anymore. This figure makes me think that the DX10 body being more accurate to Arnie's T2 proportions was merely a happy coincidence. I mean why would they change the body for greater accuracy there but not here.

Anyway, did indeed get my Sideshow order today but haven't had time until now to play with it so, play with it I shall.

That which is bad shall one day be good.

There is a lot of truth in that. I've seen it happen to so many figures. I think some people get so worked up about what it should be visually that they are disappointed up front almost no matter what. Then, months or years later, as they have gotten used to that figure and a new "disappointment" shows up, they look back with nostalgic eyes on the old figure and magically it is "the bar".

Terminator, Batman and a lot of Star Wars fans are so passionate that they can be fanatical... and disserving of their own master.

So to answer your statement -- yes, one day this figure will be highly regarded.

I haven't noticed that being a very common complaint, and Tech Noir is my favorite HT figure so I've followed that thread pretty well. Most complaints I've seen of that type actually were made in this thread (often by folks who don't have the Tech Noir), and while his head is smallish compared to some other HT heads, it's appropriate for the body size of that figure. I feel this new T-800 would have been much better served with a smaller head considering the body.

Review? Gut reactions?

Well I've actually had the figure for a while, I got it from Timcent initially. The reason I was so eagerly waiting on my SS order was so as to make a different version.

As a stock figure it's pretty flawed, far from their best. But if you work with it, it's good.

Yeah terminator fans are really fickle or maybe its just collectors in general.

Well they said so in the DX10 Specs

- Advanced muscular body with over 30 points of articulation with newly sculpted chest and arm, which further stands out the body shape of Arnold in the movie and allows more flexible movement

As for why they didn't do it here I would simply guess lazy, they figured it would be "good enough"

I do commend them for how many body's they have made for Arnold alone

1: Major Alan Dutch Shaffer
2: MMS117
3: MMS136
4: DX10
5: DX13

All of those body's are different, some are merely a different Chest covering but still, Just wished they would have used a newer version of the 136 Chest for this release, had they done that this figure would have been a home run.
