I still like MMS 117 more than DX 10.

136 and DX 13 are my favorite Terminator figures in my collection by far though. Police shootout is kinda just there, sometimes I forget that I have two of them, and I was so hyped for that figure. It was on my wishlist for years.

I've burnt myself out talking about this, normally I last a few more posts. That's it from me for another 2 months at least.

If only there was a new Hot Toys classic Terminator release to distract us . . .

Yeah, everything there is to say about this figure has probably been said. Like Fabio, I wanted this figure for so long, but the final product was lacking. Oh, well. I bulked the neck up and am happy enough. I also still like the Tech Noir figure the best.

Civil War alone will probably have a handful of Iron Man armor garbage. Then Iron Man 4, then Infinity WARS. Kill me.

It is...too late for classic Terminator toys Difabio. Disney will show you the true nature of movie collectibles today, it is your master now :vader

a base.

i don't know if it will work yet. i mean - it works with lights from the sides, but my intention is to make a permanent base with independent light, and the only way for it is to go from below. and i won't get the base for... the base until next year, i guess.
best way would be to put many leds inside the flames, of course. but i don't know how to do that easily.

Wow, that's awesomeness. Great idea, very creative. It looks like it's enveloping him perfectly.

thank you guys for all that appreciation of my attempt and for numerous rep points as well, in a single day you moved my bar to a new level :bow

here is another experiment which i must now repeat several times. that's a DX10 body, a T1 made of leftovers from my collection and given to one kid (those things are unavailable for kids where i live). i suggested experimenting with giving his terminator some workout in a gym. unlike previously done by members, the insides of his body are "sculpted" with a black tape layers. i thought about it after vodoun gave his T1 not only new neck, but reshaped all upper half.
anyway, "sculpting" under a skin layer taken off allowed me to put "muscles" where they should be - neck/back connection, neck itself, shoulders, chest and so on. a gap in the hairsculpt will be deleted later (i just didn't leave enough place without thickening there, should cut a millimeter more), it's easy because the hair is soft plastic.

side by side, though the MMS238 there has a slightly stuffed neck already.

my photobucket is now ridiculously filled with naked male doll photos. :slap

===================

on another note: some sideshow picture shows the BD terminator with exposed knee. i expected i saw it in the movie for a long time (when he flies under the truck), either they made it up or saw it too, but i do believe that knee damage in T2 was reused from T1 intentions, so now they have a picture like my full BD figure - with exposed endo knee :)

i want that picture :(

Cool pic.

As for further experimentation trying to get the body right, I sorta forced myself to give up when I put the paperclips into the jackets. If I start trying to strip the figures down again I risk tearing the jackets asunder. So personally I'm just gonna leave mine as they are at this point. But I'm curious what you'll end up with after this.
