At 39 inches, the length of this vehicle seems to be dead on. 1/6 scale to the actual vehicle was in that 39-45 inch range correct? What was all that talk of Hot Toys shortening it for production or whatever.

This seems really accurate, hopefully that's the case. It seems like we're basically getting everything you could want with a release like this.

Space is money in this hobby.

I am not sure if I want to sacrifice a space for 4 Sideshow 1/4 scale PF for this one giant batmobile.

Hmmm...what to do...what to do...:panic::panic::panic:

wish the shield is an exclusive or something so buyers can choose which to get. don't have any use for it and wouldn't display the batmobile shielded anyway and would just add unnecessary cost to the final price. :monkey2

I have to agree, especially if it adds to the cost. If there's an exclusive with the shields that's more expensive, it's an easy pass.

Aren't almost all exclusives the same price as their regular counterparts? I cant see you saving money by not going for an EX version (if such a thing will even exist)

The detachable base is pretty cool

A 1/6 Batmobile should be 39-46 inches long, so this is within the range of accuracy, depending upon which full size dimensions are accurate. I am really really surprised it will be 39 inches long. I wait with great trepidation regarding the price, and I hope it comes out 1st quarter 2013.

They said themselves they had to compromise on length :dunno

But it looks pretty accurate so either that article/interview was mistranslated or whatever compromise there is, is negligible

Right you are sir! A few months ago lots of people were saying that it "looks too short", and I posted all of the possible different 1/6 scale size ranges the Batmobile...(there are several conflicting measurements available from official sources). It turns out that at 39" L and 16" W, this EXACTLY matches one of the possible measurements I posted back then.

According to "Batman: The Official Book of the Movie" by John Marriott, who was on set during the production and had access to the special effects and props teams:

length = 19 ft , 6 inches (5.9 m) = 234 inches | 1:6 = 39 inches
width = 8 ft (2.4 m) = 96 inches | 1:6 = 16 inches
Wheels (doesn't specify whether they are talking about the front or back wheels which are different sizes, or the wheels without the tires) = 24 inches | 1:6 = 4 inches

Unless you get a case for it, the sheilds will make a great dust cover.

Yup, this thing has to be at least $800-$1K now...

Yep SHIELDS!!!!!!

Holy S#!T the Batshield ! :panic:

How did you work that out when 50,000Yen = to $623 = £397. Dependent on what converter you use, give or take a few dollars.

Where does it say the Yen price? I didn't see that.
