This thing looks so damn mean and cool.
When my Hot Toys Keaton Batman arrived I acted like a hyperactive child, tearing right into it and spending hours admiring it. What the hell am I going to do with this thing?
Lately, the hobby hasn't really done that much for me, but damn, when it rains it pours? Has anyone really given that much thought to owning Batman, the Joker AND THIS in one room, all together after more than two decades? It's crazy. I know, like with Batman it doesn't really sink in until it's on your doorstep and you see it up close and in hand.
I know money and space is an issue for everyone and I'll definitely be losing quite a bit on both but I'd like to think, after it's all said and done that this '89 collection is really worth it. Personally, I thought they were going to half ass everything when they first announced the license, but that obviously isn't the case here.
The dimensions on the Batmobile are in the ball park of what I had hoped for, it has all the features it should have from lights to gadgets/weapons, the shields are a great surprise (I'm using it as a dust cover, it'll be easier to maintain and dust with that over top of it) and it actually has ACCURATE yellow headlights instead of the red/orange ones. There's really nothing I can complain about. This is way more than what I expected when the prototype first debuted last summer.
I'm going to preorder as soon as it's made available, price be damned. This will probably be my last great hurrah when it comes to this stuff anyway.
