I'm just going to say it, I love HT....but this figure flat out sucks. Looks nothing like Bridges, and without that, it's a really, really boring figure.

Hopefully it'll improve. But we'll see.

I think it looks exactly like him--except for the hair, and I think that's what is throwing people off.

Someone posted pictures of Bridges earlier, and if you compare them, they look the same, but the hair just doesn't look right

exactly! not really digging the jedi obi-wan outfit and look.....now a Hot Toys 80's Kevin Flynn and Tron would be awesome...hoping Hot toys announces that license this weekend

How else would you guys like him dressed? Thats how he looked in the film. Not HT fault about the costume. I think the figure looks pretty good. Sculpt could use a bit more tweeking. Mainly more wrinlkes other then that perfect.

No kidding!!!
The only thing I would change personally, is to add EL wire so that it looks like this:

no kidding he looks like the film, nobody is blaming Hot Toys for that.
there is just nothing interesting about Obi-wan Flynnobi costume wise....bring on the 80's version of Flynn with his Tron deadly disc and then we'll talk :)

Its the hair and beard. He is more disheveled in the movie. The head has him looking too slick. Its also hard to scale that costume right. It looks good on the screen but shrinking it down is going to be a hard sell.

Crap, now that you mention it, you're right. It is way to clean. I'm praying they change this sculpt.

His beard isnt even that long in the movie. It's pretty short. And has a very nice spot of black around the mouth. This one is kinda full in the cheeks.

I haven't seen the film YET but I am on wednesday...but from what it looks like from my above photo collage, it seems as though his hair is cleaner or fixed looking on the pic on the far right so maybe that's what HT was going for?

the beard looks about the right length to me. also from my above pic, the beard looks like it needs to be more into the cheeks if anything

I personally would just age him a bit more and add the darker black spot in the beard but that's about it for me. it's a buy for me anyhow so for all I care, they can keep it the way it is

Good posting.

I think something is wrong with the nose. It's either too big or fat or what.

I sympathize with the sculptor, this is a hard one to capture. When I saw the sculpt I was a little disappointed so I started my own. And what do you know the darn thing looked like Gene Hackman for a while. It took about two hours for me to sculpt Hackman out of it. It’s still a work in progress but I think it’s getting there. Please tell me what you think.

I see Bridges on the left there for sure. The hair is right on on that pic. It looks a bit off o the right, but you got the size and shape of the hair and beard right. Nice work!

The 3/4 shot is dead on. It's all in the eyes I think and you have gotten there me thinks.

You should definitely post the image on HT's Facebook page and it will get loads of attention...Hot Toys may even offer you a job....lol...prob not...but at least you can show them how its done....but seriously, it looks exactly like Bridges !!!!

Its getting there, Spenser! The one on the right reminds me of Christopher Plummer a tad.
