I much prefer this version over the red version. I'll be selling mine soon however as there is too much AOU and star wars to focus on and all i really want from the MGS line is solid and liquid but i don't see it happening

Ugh... Avengers. There's Civil War coming next year and Infinity War soon after. Plus, you know HT is just going to regurgitate figures.

I'd be a damn shame to return Raiden for an Iron Man, or anything like it.

I mean he can do what he wants.

I feel that anything Marvel is becoming extremely generic... too much global saturation.

The beauty of this hobby is we all like different things....:duff i enjoyed avengers, i enjoy the marvel movies. I bought raiden to see him in hand and photograph him i've done just that. He was never my favourite character nor was rising my favourite game this just looked like an impressive piece to see in person and i happened to have the funds at the time

Before the first Avengers movie i had a mild interest in some of the " Avengers " from their solo movies. Then it was apparent that every time a new suit came out, it was to make the old suit obsolete. It wasnt just an upgrade, it by default made the old one pointless. And you can tell by ebay, and even this forum every time a " new " version of a character comes out all of the old ones are on ebay. They arent classics, or timeless. Everybody is clambering for the AOU figures now but they will be on ebay in a split second as soon as Avengers 3 rolls around. Anybody and everybody can buy what they want its just my own pet peeve of Avengers figures being the epitome of flash in the pan and have next to no long term worth.

nothing has long term worth in this hobby anymore with the amount hot toys produce. Its only the really old figures i.e your blades or hellboys and so on that hold value. I don't see this guy as a timeless classic, he's already being done again in another colour, some would say very marvel like lol ;)

Even when i have the figure in display on my shelves with my other collectibles i still wont believe Hot Toys made a figure from Metal Gear Rising! But every other day theres a new iron man, its ironic that theres like 50 in-canon iron men and that sounds ridiculous... but they are also making up their own repaints and variants too. And Tony stark figures!

Im just one of thoes jaded people who has been waiting 24 months after the tease of the Re 6 figures and they still havent been fully revealed..

Don't get me wrong, i am not a fan of all the iron man repaints and re-release myself that time could be much better spent on other releases. I am only going to own one IM and its the Mark 3 diecast, ever other has come and gone out of my collection.

As for raiden im not surprised actually, he kinda fits in with the theme in the far east, they all love their armours and mechs and such and raiden fits right in. I mean don't get me wrong here he's a superb release and very very well made the only MGS figures i'd buy to keep like i said would be solid and liquid as MGS1 has always been my favourite.

Blade and Hellboy are holding value because unless something miraculous happens we will never see them be made again. Hellboy 3 is probably never going to happen. And Blade as a character doesn't seem to fit in with what Marvel wants to do right now. I am with you guys in that while I enjoy seeing some stuff from the big comic movies(Black Panther and Batfleck!!!!) I also want to see other stuff. I am excited to see what they produce from MGSV. I would love to get Big Boss and Revolver Ocelot.

Im interested to see venom snake and if they do ocelot aswell..but again lol i'd also love to see an mgs1 ocelot lol

Great Pic though Stealth Veteran. How are the arms flexibility?

:duff thanks, his arms are very flexible, they stretch outwards to mimic the gecco statue, they have a 90 degree bent with ratchet so they don't bounce back at all. Its a solid release on their part and anyone getting him with love him.

the only thing that bugs me is the sheath holder which attaches to his side it has a few articulation points but one swivel in particular is so small it is a bit flimsy. Thought is nothing major

I was really hoping that Hot Toys would announce Venom Snake at SDCC this year! It makes sense with the game only 2 months away.

I don't think we saw Venom for the same reason we didn't see Batfleck. HT's audience is already built in. They don't need the hype of the official game or movie releasing to drum up interest. They could announce PO's for both 6 months after the game and film are out, and they would still sell like hot cakes.
