The Gecco Silent Hill pistol was pretty much in scale with other 1/6 despite the figure is much smaller than standard figure.

The Exclusive cost too much just for a Sword, if it were priced similar to Sideshow exclusive where you pay extra $10 then it's worth getting.

BTW would have been great if you can mince the arms into powder and send it back to Sideshow. Obviously they aren't very happy with all the claims.

I have this figure around a week. I can say, i really like the figure, but I'm still disappointed with ht.
I'm really hoping some companies would be competent enought to compete with HT to make at least great metal gear figures.

Outside of the obvious broken arms, the visor placement is completely wrong on his face. They should of had the little arms on them like out of the game.

Agreed... Also my raiden also has some small strange marks here and there but I can live with that, considering he's a cyborg...
Now I'm considering if I will preorder phantom pain figures or wait until the reviews are out.

no one said you have to do it on your pavement. also if you put more paddings like used newspaper below, you can pretty much swing the sledge hammer full force without worrying about your tiles.
People demolish buildings and pavements with sledgehammers. Its what they are for. Not to mention if you are not competent to swing a sledge hammer you can do serious harm especially if you are wanting people to swing full force in to a concrete floor. They will break their wrist. The figures arms were meant to be destroyed in the video not the concrete and the wrist.

Just set mine all up and got to posing and both the arms are gone

Mine's currently in transit from Japan, probably take about a week to get here. Going to be one very anxious wait :panic:

The only review on YouTube I've found that didn't have broken elbows right out of the box was Jacky Chang's. I really wish I'd been aware of all this before shelling out the cash for the figure...

When i got my figure both of the arms worked. It was the " testing " to see that they wernt broke that broke them.

If they break the first time you gingerly use them in the forlorn hope you didn't get a defective figure, they may as well have been broken straight out of the box.

I'm struggling to think of a worse Hot Toys QC ****-up in all the time I've known of the company. Even the ED-209s (both of them) didn't all have the rotting rubber dome issue.

It is a complete misstep by Hot Toys. Anybody with half a brain, that doesnt know anything about the toy business could think of a way to make the arm articulate without breaking.

But that being said, if you are a fan of the game, character or design in general they are still strong points. If you go for more casual and relaxed poses you essentially have a real life 1:6 render of the videogame character on display. Even with the faults i have with mine i still opted to order the Inferno version too after having the canon colour scheme figure in hand first. ( truth be told i am half considering selling the black version and keeping inferno if i like it more )

Same. I'm like the battered wife to HT's abusive 1950's husband, I guess. I love the red they used on the Inferno version, it's more of a Ferrari-style red than they use on the Iron Man figures and actually looks much better than the in-game skin.

My elbows feel very strong, even for HT standards. I guess it's a diamond in the rough considering the rest of the stock going around.

If you see the inside of the figure, you'll know the elbow will somehow be broken if you move it too much. Unless you fix it, before the inevitability happen

you don't have to swing it, you just pound it like you pound chilli into powders. just like how it's done in the video but with more force. it's not gonna rip your tiles off. remember sideshow wants to see it destroyed, not damaged.
