The overall package is pretty awesome though. I'd still go for the HT Raiden rather than the Gecco statue. Though I wonder if we could use the spine with HT Raiden....

Yeah, it's sad that Gecco got awesome base and spine accessory. Even Sam's sword and scabbard are there to begin with, for less than $200... But anyway I've seen their statues in person and can't say they're awesome, not to mention that this pose is as generic and boring as it gets.

Yeah, headsculpt alone it's no contest with HT wish they put an additional base and spine accessory to make the set more awesome.

When I first saw the Raiden statue I was so excited and had to own it. Then few days later saw the Hot Toys Raiden and it was no contest.

Statue is really nice, I like the base and the extra accessories.
What I'm really waiting for is their Big Boss from GZ. The headsculpt is pretty damn good, will use that for a figure.

They are doing Raiden as well so have a look.

Oh, I definitely plan on grabbing that as well, for the purpose of removing the heads and using them for figures.
I like the Gecco one more because I prefer the GZ-style face to the ponytail and horn TPP face.
