Hot Toys Warriors of Future Tyler and Johnson 1:6 Collectible Figures

Thought it was interesting Hot Toys is doing military style figures again.

Along with fans of the movie, these seem like good figures for people who need sci-fi/near future soldiers and space marine type figures for the displays as well.

We don’t see a lot of non Star Wars, Marvel, or DC figures anymore but I guess they’re doing them since it’s a Hong Kong based science fiction action film.

In 2055, a meteorite, which brings a fast-growing alien vine named "Pandora", crashes down on a barren Earth ravaged by pollution and global warming. "Pandora" purifies the planet but kills everything in its path. To protect the citizens of their city, the heavily armored military of Hong Kong, armed with the plant's genetic map, tries but fails to destroy "Pandora" and uncovers a conspiracy.

Damn, I'm getting some serious Edge of Tomorrow and Elysium vibes from this when looking at the exo suits.

I might be tempted to pick one of these up, purely based on how awesome these look.

Agreed. I also get Halo Marine and ODST vibes as well as Edge of Tomorrow.

Seems like they’d be well suited for a variety of displays.

Are these the same some characters that DamToys has been making or something different? I honestly don't know so genuinely asking. They look cool regardless and would've loved some HT Edge of Tomorrow Cruise and Emily Blunt figures.

No, it's a different film.

Warriors of Future was supposed to have been released in 2019 though, the same year as The Wandering Earth.

Any longer and they could've retitled this one Warriors of Yesterday.

These look cool, Ironman meets Edge of Tomorrow.

DamToys made figures from The Wandering Earth, which have a similar vibe. The movie was nothing special, but the figure i have, is one of the most intricate and detailed ever made.

The film released today in China, and the only place I can see ratings for it are on IMDB. Only 12 votes so far and it's down to 5.5 / 10.

The home market will help HT with these figures, unlike Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets which they dropped like a hot rock.

I'd have liked to have seen those figures go into production.

(I only just noticed from that photo that those bases are the same as they used for Arena Boba Fett).

They definitely went all out on these two. Amazing detail in the armour.

But good for them to support their local industry.

I completely agree. While I have/had no knowledge of the source material, I actually enjoyed the movie and feel like they would've made for interesting figures to own.

If the film hits big in China they will have no issues moving these figures. Louis Koo (Tyler) is a big HT collector as well so I'm not surprised they are releasing a figure of his character.
