So, does Hot Toys still plan on releasing this. I really want this.

Definitely coming, just a question of when they ll release all the specs.I think the next show they officially attend is early October,so maybe around then.Although this Friday would be better. With Mark V on the way this is now my most anticipated figure.

Agreed.
I need me some Iron Monger.

I have been saving for this. I did not get the Batman tumbler, cancelled the MK V, and passed on the Bruce Wayne/OC figure. Do not let me down Hot Toys. I want this to go with my MK III BD Iron Man.

This is the figure thats going to get me into collecting the iron man series

Then you better get the Mark III battle-damaged now, to go with Iron monger, before it skyrockets in price. Once Iron Monger is released, everybody will be clamoring for the BD Mark III.

:exactly::goodpost: If you want any IM figures except for the Iv you should start hunting pronto! :lecture

My bet is that we'll see a new BD Mark III based on the new Mark II body. I suspected that even before Iron Monger was shown and speculated that it would make even more sense if they ever did an Iron Monger. I'm even more sure now that they've shown the Stealth Mark III which uses the new Mark II body but without the rivets. They would have to re-tool molds to not have the rivets and I seriously doubt they'd do that for a limited exclusive like the Stealth III.

I doubt it. The only time hot toys revisits a figure is if that figured showed up again in a recent movie, or they want to make a battle-damaged version of it. They've already made a reg version of the Mark III and it's respective battle damaged version. If the Mark III shows up in the next latest and greatest ironman movie then they may redo him, otherwise I wouldn't hold your breath.

They've already cranked out 3 different Mark 3's and have a 4th on the horizon (Stealth) so why not make 5 and keep the milk man coming? :lol

I forgot about the gunmetals...who knows, maybe hot toys might do a Mark III battle-damaged gunmetal. :lol Now that would be an obvious milking by hot toys. Hot Toys is very subtle when they milk their figures. After all, they don't want to be too obvious when taking our money :wink1:.

I love these arbitrary "rules" people think Hot Toys follows.

:lol It's pretty much impossible to pin down HT's thought process. I mean, did anyone expect to see that Stealth variant Mark 3?

There were countless people who mocked those of us for even discussing an Iron Monger for months and low and behold HT delivered & the same can be said for those Sucker Punch fans who had a 100+ page thread that most labeled a 'pipe dream' before anything was announced.

In the end it's anybody's guess what HT decides to take on :dunno

The best you can do is talk about what you'd like/hope to see. For me that's a new Mark III.

Correlation does not equal causation. You can look at anything that's been around for awhile and apply arbitrary rules to it and they will be "true". Doesn't mean they will remain that way or whatever is driving whatever it is actually uses any of those rules.

You're right, they could change, but so the trend is going strong.

Joker 2.0?
Batman Begins BW?
MKII AU?

I don't follow batman too much so the Joker 2.0 and BBBW maybe rare exceptions, but as for the Mark II AU, they are re-making that one because it was in the most recent Ironman film with Don's head instead of Morton's head.
