Hot Toys working on an Iron Monger?

So, correct if Im wrong, 'cause I know you will BUT in the past when HT has shown custom or not-for-sale product, the'yve specifically mentioned so in the past on the name card. I cant think of a specific example though. So this leads me to believe this will be for sale eventually...

Has anyone attempted to ask them about this on their Facebook page?

One of the most recent examples was their Stealth Mk III which was a product that was planned as an exclusive but never made that said "Not for Sale" on the display. According to the translation on this it says "Announcement soon" so I guess we should know shortly.

Hahahah shes certainly got mine now, anyway back to topic. If Iron Monger is to be released i cant even imagine the shipping costs this thing would have, it would probably cost me an extra $100 just to ship it to Australia

Have to agree that international shipping cost will be a 'killer' for this figure if it ever gets made. The only way to purchase it will be through the local retailer channel where possible. Unless really got no choice.

The dude in the middle is Max Watanabe, Gunpla (Gundam plastic modelling) maestro - he does (or at least used to) do a monthly Gundam modelling feature in Hobby Japan, and is the man when it comes to building those types of kits. In the latest Figure King magazine, there's a brief interview with him in a section about various famous industry people (in Japan) who are fans of Hot Toys, and Max is apparently a huge fan.

It says (近日発表) "announcement in the new few days".... same with Mark V and the rest... So just wait...

Actually, 近日発表 can mean "in a few days" or just "soon", so it may be more than a few days before something is announced.

Didn't they mention towards the beginning of this year that they were wanting to do Iron Monger? Then we see this pic of it from the show. Why would they display this one and not do it? Did they display other unfinished figs also that got canceled?

You didn't miss anything. But even if I were to say something, why would you put stock in something that someone who knows someone who knows someone else heard someone else say that was then reported on an Internet forum, of all places, by a complete stranger, whom you've never seen or even heard talk, hiding behind a pseudonym?

HT is in the business of making money, right? IM is a cash-cow for HT, right? Let's just say that HT has announced 2 major projects so far related to IM. Common sense says this is one of them.
