Re: Days of future past wolverine hot toys?

Hot Toys done goofed if they don't make a line (a line) for this movie. First Class was a great movie so I don't see why it should have been such a surprise that DOFP would also be. They should have planned for it. Fassneto, Mystique, Wolverine at the very least should happen.

ASM2 was vastly inferior and yet is getting 3 figures that we know of, one of them gigantic. So get on the X-men bandwagon at long last HT. If you don't do it for this film then WTF will it take.

A proper and more faithful to the comic movie adaption? :rotfl

I agree. They screwed up the storylines and the character roles. Marvel should have never sold this franchise. Here are some things wrong with the films.
1. They made Wolverine the main character. In the comics he was a beast, sometimes attacking friends in a rage. A loner at times.
2. They killed off Cyclops. Referring to the first point, Cyclops is the suppose to be the leader.
3. They made Rogue a weakling. I remember in the animated series she was probably the one of the most powerful characters. She could fly, and was super strong. And she was tough, not afraid to get her hands dirty.
4. Iceman doesn't wear a suit when in ice mode.
That's just a few of my gripes.

Also I think the X-men line would be a bland group of figures. Their costumes are all black or some sort of variation. At least the Avengers look more visually attractive to display.

Re: Days of future past wolverine hot toys?

Loved the film and would take Wolverine in either his future suit or the seventies style outfit. Also would take old and young versions of Professor X and Magneto as well as a Mystique. I'm betting a Wolverine is the only sure thing we get from the film though unfortunately.

Did you not see Days of Future Past; at least some of your concerns are addressed. Also, I totally disagree with your sei tuque of Wolverine. I actually think movie Wolverine is vastly superior to his comic book counterpart for one very important reason:growth. When we first meet him, he is that loner you talk about; right in the middle of a cage fight in some seedy Canadian bar. He may not have been as short and he may not have been as hairy, but he was Wolverine, nonetheless. The difference is that, over the past 14 years, even in the not so good ones, Logan's character was constantly evolving. There's nothing compelling about a pissed off manimal who shows no character development.

1-have you read the comics? Wolverine and the xmen ringing a bell? Lol Wolverine has been the focus of the xverse since he was introduced in giant size. He is by far the most popular character of the xmen. Like it/him or not.

2-spoiler....fixed in DOFP, and FYI if superman can die (or spiderman/Peter Parker) so can cyclops....

3-rogue got her power by stealing it from ms marvel. So who's to say she wasn't a wussy as u say before that, or that movie rogue couldn't hulk up by kissing thor or whatever. Her mutation is her stealing ability/sapping power. Not flight or super strength.

4-ice bobby has in fact had multiple versions of costume while in ice form..and it makes a lot more sense. He can turn to ice, his mutation isn't clothing based. So what's he gonna do, turn to ice then strip? Why? So when he turns back he can rock out with his "insert word" out? Makes no sense....

5-as u can see I think your mostly wrong. But that's your right. Lol

6-bland black...like batman. And Hawkeye, boy does he have some flashy clothing. Plus, who cares which is more realistic...and that magneto, I'm all dark red, being to close to black. And beast, his bright blue fur is so bland! And mystique, all blue, so bland! I see your point..xmen costumes all black no color. Or wait, not at all. I have seen these movies and read these comics right? Or just that 90s cartoon u mentioned?

Re: Hot Toys Electro teaser

I feel there is more to why HT hasn't done more X Men then people know. Whether its license problems or that the Asian markets, who buys a ton more then the US and Europe, aren't interested. I don't believe its other lines pushing them down.

I ought to wonder about this as well. Could be something to do with Marvel too for all we know. After all, even now with Marvel Legends, the only movie figures Hasbro has made recently are the Marvel Studios films, and TASM 1 and 2 (where both Electro and Lizard actually got Legends figures). X-Men though? Nothing, not even First Class got figures from Hasbro and no announcements have been made for DOFP figures either.

Re: Days of future past wolverine hot toys?

Another I forgot to mention is I hear Mystique is a central character, a much bigger role. I don't remember her being such a focal point. Even in the original film trilogy.

Those would make great figures, would love to see them get made.

Well if Marvel have the ability to decide which merchandise gets made, obviously they will choose their own studios properties over others

Re: Hot Toys Electro teaser

Really speaks to all the hype and excitement over the Electro figure, doesn't it?

Seems like every thread inevitably turns into a wish list of other figures people would rather see. The Rhino thread had plenty of people asking about an Electro, I'm curious to see how this turns out.

If that ever happens for you guys one day then great. But in the meantime I think DOFP justifies the continuation of the current cinematic universe a while longer.

Capitalizing on Jennifer Lawrence's current success.

I'm more bothered by the fact they made Havok, Cyclops's dad (if I read that correctly)

Re: Days of future past wolverine hot toys?

They are unrelated in the movies, like Heimdall and Sif.

Marvel should have never sold this franchise.

If that happened then Marvel Comics would've most likely have gone bust and even if they didn't without X-Men & Spider-Man starting the marvel movie trend we wouldn't have had any a Marvel movies

Re: Hot Toys Electro teaser

Yeah stuff from ASM2 but NOTHING from the far far superior new X Men? Guess Spidey still sells more....

Re: Hot Toys Electro teaser

Should change the title of this forum to "why haven't Hot Toys done X men figures" I was hoping to find info on Electro but only found complaints about DOFP.

Shows you how well this announcement went over for alot guys on this forum...

JLaw is definitely a draw. They would be nuts not to.

Personally speaking, I don't mind. JLaw Mystique is my favorite female character in the X-Men movies besides Rogue (X3 actually angered me with what it did to her character).
