I received mine a little earlier today. Below are just some quick, thoughtless pictures from straight out of the box, no futzing of any kind nor thoughts of putting things on as right as possible. I'm not too excited about it right now. Today I also received a pair of shoes from eBay that turned out to be counterfeit, my mind is stuck on that right now, it's an irritating situation.

The white material on the hat, I don't know if it's been posted before, is this white grid-like material pasted to the underside of the hat. I believe it's there to assist the hat's peak from keeping shape and not some sort of detail keeping with the film. If that's true, it seems like it would've been a great deal better if they had used black material instead of white. Still, if it's a problem I think you could probably colour it black yourself with a marker or something else.

Another point is that the top lapel is glued or stitched down and appears to me a little shorter than in the prototype. In the prototype it seems like it goes further to the shoulder.

I'm still really suprised at how much better this figure looks compared to the offcial pics.

Yeah, I think the hat is fine (apart from the fluff under the peak). It's actually quite adjustable too, as some of the pictures below should show. You can shape it easily, pushing it in, and it holds.

Here the lighting continues to be not so revealing. It's a case of taking pictures and thinking they looks fine and clear on the little camera screen, but then once uploaded on the computer finding them instead dark and full of shadows.

I can't place it but something seemed slightly off on proto in the official pics. It was still a good likeness but the in-hand pics the likeness seems to have improved a little. At least ti my eyes.

He had more wrinkles and lines in the proto ..it looks like they got rid of those ..and for the better

Amazing sculpt, the hat is horrendous though. The uniform/boots looks no better than DID or DML, but gotta admit the jacket is right on and looks VERY slick.

I think the hat is fine ..looked bad in pics but in-hand its pretty good.

I own quite a few DID and Dragon Nazi's and this Hot Toys uniform has quite better, tailoring,detail,materials used etc..the boots are made from a thinner material and look better IMO.

What is so bad about it exactly? I was thinking the same at one point. I only saw the film once in the cinema and I was remember the hat as being more set and pointed, like this, maybe you're thinking the same:

The prototype actually looked more like that (see the picture way below), that's probably the main reason I was thinking of it like so. The reality though is that the hat worn in the film is quite baggy and sits out of shape, like a newsboy hat, and so obviously that's what HT were aiming for with the final. I think the hat is reasonable in keeping with the film and in size and cut. I certainly wouldn't call it horrendous.
