Its odd. The pics form the front look fine, its the sideshots like this one, that make the cap look odd.

Its fine in-hand ..and it's not like your displaying him from the side anyway:dunno.(but i do know these things can be annoying ..even if you can't see them)

The figure overall is fantastic ..the very slight problem with the cap is a poor reason to pass on the figure imo ..there have been many figures that have had much worse faults that have sold out.

The hat is definitely not a reason to pass on this figure if you are even slightly a fan of this character. This is one of the better Hot Toys releases in awhile now, i like him even more then my T-1000.

I agree with you, and maybe im pushing the envelope on this one a tad, but it does bother me that you get such a sucky hat for the $150+ peeps are payin HT for this fig. For the ammount that HT charges for its figures, you shouldnt have to go out and find replacement parts, etc... They should be setting THE standard.
You hand over mass cash to HT, and then STILL have to spend more? Hell no. Not for the price. I know to each his own, but its sad that a cheap DML Crusher looks better than this.

Here's my stupid pics of this stunning figure:

Beautiful! Thank you for doing these, best pictures yet!

Can't wait for mine to arrive :(

I know I'm in the minority but I'm not digging that hat.

I REALLY dont see how your view can be in the minority, the hat is horrible and anyone taking an objective view on the figure and not a fanboy would admit this instead of defending it tooth and nail. Like I said before , it looks like a RASATAHAT MANNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it looked horrible before it arrived too, and still I agree that many pictures make it look as ridiculous you say, but having it in hand I honestly find it perfectly fine. If it did turn out as poorly as I was expecting, in my case I would've just displayed without it but so far, since receiving it, he's been standing always with his cap on head, I'm happy with it.

It seems actually that everyone agrees that the hat looks nuts in pictures and was worried by it but is there anyone who has it in hand now that still finds it so terrible? I don't mean that as a rhetorical question, I mean really is there anyone who has it in-hand who really hates the cap?

I just didn't want to come off like I was being a troll. The past couple of pages all just seemed to be filled with praise for the figure, which is fantastic, and excuses for the hat, which isn't up to HT standards. They should have went with a sculpted hat, IMO...

They should have went with a sculpted hat, IMO...

Hot toys and 1/6 figures in general are all about the use of real fabric on there figures, thats one of the main things that sets them apart from companies like neca and hasbro ..a sculpted hat would be a mega fail imo ..no matter how good it looks, just knowing its plastic would annoy me.

IF a nice hat can be made with fabric it should.... But, if something better could have been made with other materials I really think that would be the way to go. In the end it's all about appearance and at this point the fabric cap is taking away from the piece.

I have Enterbay's Kato figure and he has a sculpted hat and it actually looks surprising good, it's perfect I'd say. It's a completely black hat though, I think it succeeds by that. For Landa a sculpted hat would likely be a different story, not only because its design/style would probably look as unconvincing as a sculpted shirt but also because of the variety of ways people are probably wanting to display it (in hand, tilted, etc).

Not to be-labour the "plastic" vs. "fabric" hat debate...

naw let's continue...

IMO HT reverting to a plastic hat would be a step back. Not to sound to fan-boyish, but they seem to push the envelope with each release, getting better. They will nail "hats." It's just takin a bit of time.

They nailed 1:6 glasses right?
