How do you feel about Hot Toys doing second runs of Vader, Chewie, Han and Ob...

I know somebody in here earlier says they have ordered from popcultcha before, but has anybody else?

Their prices seem very reasonable, but the normal international concerns are there since I've never done it. So I'm a bit hesitant to pull the trigger.

$195.57 shipped for the Chewie pre order seems like a great deal if they actually will have some.

They're a great site. I've probably ordered 6-7 figures from them at this point with no problem.

They're a huge store like BBTS. The current reduced prices are a mistake, but as Texas said, they've honored those in the past so it's worth a shot.

Well maybe I'll give it a shot. Do they charge the full amount right away or charge when the item is ready to ship out? Right now at least a lot of those Hot Toys are 50-60 less than Sideshow. :hi5:

So close to pulling the trigger, but these are preorders which means I'll probably have to wait months to see if it really happens. Potentially a paypal mess being an overseas transaction.......I'm passing. Thanks for posting TexasFinest it's a great deal if it goes through.

Obi is schedule to ship in June and according to Paypal im covered until Septemnber

Hmmm, Almost all the way through the order and it shows actually $20 higher on the paypal page and I don't see a deposit option. Curse you, over complicated ordering. haha

Edit: Ahhh, i see. Orders under $300 must be paid in full.

Chewie shows up on the list page at $279.91, but $254.46 in the cart.

In Oz dollars it doesn't change, $399.00 both pages.

Huh?

They also have vision for $108

Meanwhile actual Australian customers get to pay $400 for Chewie and $300 for Vision. That's not reflective of the exchange rate plus tax. If that were the case we should be paying around $165 and $300.

Ah, gottit - but shouldn't that be calculated based on the buyer's location?

When I go in there it automatically displays sterling and deducts the 9%. I guess it does it for any currency you're using apart from Oz dollars.

I've held off ordering anything from them because there's going to be 20% tax plus an unknown tax-collection admin cost based on whoever makes the delivery.

like any collector of any type of collection, it's nice to know that you have some things that not everyone has.

Speak for yourself. I have a number of very limited items (prob < 25 items made) that, were they to be re-released, or made generally more available, I would not care one iota.

I collect for me, not for what someone else I don't know or care about does or does not have, and I am happy if other collectors who love their tchotchkes get to sit them in a shelf or in their mancaves and get the same level of enjoyment I personally get from them.

Same here.
These figures are not Fabergé Eggs.

I'm more than happy for them to be rereleased. I feel bad for those who were stung by scalpers.

Still the prices are of course higher than they were with the original release, so I'm glad I picked them up back then.

I'm not sure why people think they could be different than the first wave. Any changes would be noted in the descriptions.

I don't mind these being re released, however I feel really bad for people who paid the mark up prices. These figures sold out only a month or 2 after release, so I imagine there were quite a lot of people who paid those high prices. Seeing as it doesn't look like the 2 pack is being re released, at least the owners that paid a higher price for them won't feel cheated about it coming back. As for Obi-Wan, it really only sold out a short time ago so hopefully there weren't too many people that paid through the nose on that one.

Is anyone able to select the "pay deposit" option on the popcultcha website? Won't let me do it.
